On Wednesday, the day before he left for The Opening, four-star linebacker Anthony Hines III was sporting an Ohio State T-shirt. It's small in the grand scheme of things, but it certainly didn't go unnoticed by Buckeyes fans.
On Thursday, Ohio State got another small piece of good news: Hines included the Buckeyes in his Top 10.
It's hardly a surprise considering how much momentum Ohio State currently has in his recruitment, and it almost seemed like a sure thing, but as we all know there's never a sure thing in the world of recruiting.

The Buckeyes are on the list along with Auburn, Florida, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas, Texas A&M, TCU and UCLA. It's a long list, but it almost had to be as Hines possesses a reported 90 scholarship offers. Many believe the Buckeyes to be one of the top contenders to land Hines.
A four-star prospect hailing from Plano, Texas, Hines is the No. 72-rated player in the 2017 class, according to 247Sports' composite rankings, and the No. 1-ranked inside linebacker. His recruiting profile lists him as 6-foot-2.5 and 222 pounds.
Hines will compete at The Opening this week along with 10 current Ohio State commits, so it's a pretty safe bet he'll be a top priority along with several other top prospects in the country.
