Every weekend in the fall, thousands of high school football teams line up and take their shot at prep glory. The Sunday morning Prep Tracker is your final stop for the names, numbers and scores that mattered to Ohio State's recruiting efforts.
DEMARIO McCALL INJURED, AGAIN
This title keeps repeating itself like it's in the movie Groundhog's Day. Another week and another Demario McCall injury. Last week McCall left the game in the second quarter with a shoulder bruise. This week he left the game in the second quarter with what is believed to be a hamstring injury. An excerpt from The Cleveland Plain Dealer:
Rangers coach Luke Durbin didn’t know the extent of the injury after the game.
“It’s just unfortunate. Great football player and he hasn’t been healthy all season and it doesn’t look like he’s going to be healthy all season,” said Durbin. “We’ve been able to practice a few of the adjustments because he suffered the shoulder injury last week. It’s kind of hard because it’s can he play or can’t he play? We’ve just got to do what we’ve got to do.”
Below you will find Demario McCall's opinion of his recent injuries:
Somebody put a curse on me man!! I Can't finish a fucking game man

Hamstrings are tricky. Hopefully McCall will be able to finish his senior season.
WR JAYLEN HARRIS GOES OVER THE CENTURY MARK
WR Jaylen Harris (6-5, 215 pounds) of Cleveland Heights had 120 yards receiving and a touchdown against Bedford (OH). The 2017 Ohio State target averaged 20 yards per reception in the 34-20 win over Bedford.
Harris ranks 3rd in the state of Ohio at WR and is a 100% crystal ball prediction to sign with Ohio State according to 247Sports.com.
DANNY CLARK AND TODD SIBLEY CONTINUE THEIR ASSAULT ON NORTHEAST OHIO
Akron Archbishop Hoban improved to 7-0 after blanking Mentor Lake Catholic 49-0 Saturday night. Hoban was led again by the dynamic duo of Danny Clark and Todd Sibley. Hoban coach, Tim Tyrrell spoke to the Cleveland Plain Dealer about Clark after the game:
Clark has continued to make the necessary throws thorough the first seven games, Tyrrell said. "Danny's a very efficient individual," Tyrrell said. "He's doing exactly what we need him to do."
Todd Sibley had these insights:
"To know that you can do what you want offensively and just dominate a team and have everything you practice during the week work, it's a great feeling," Sibley said. "We executed really well."
[...]
The junior running back credited offensive linemen Nolan Rumler, Tom Redle, Jacob Kepler, Jacob McNeil and R.J. Kelly for controlling the line of scrimmage throughout the game.
Video highlights from the game:
Danny Clark's play of the game from multiple angles:
Before the game against Lake Catholic Danny Clark watched the Buckeyes take on Maryland. Clark's eagle eye caught an awkward moment between A.J. Alexander (88) and Joe Burrow (10):

AUSTIN MACK HELD IN CHECK
Homestead (IN) defeated Austin Mack's Fort Wayne Bishop Luers team 28-21. Homestead did what few teams have been able to do this season and held Mack to 69 yards of total offense. Look for Mack, a recent selection to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, to rebound next week against Fort Wayne North Side. A recap of Mack's performance from The Journal Gazette:
But just as importantly, Homestead won for the first time at home by keeping Luers star Austin Mack in check. Mack, the Ohio State recruit who never leaves the field for the Knights, entered the game with more than 1,200 all-purpose yards and had scored 16 touchdowns in just about every way possible.
Not only did the Spartans keep Mack out of the end zone, they barely let him see the ball.
“Austin Mack is probably the best player we’ve played against, so it was a real challenge for us,” said senior Ben Skowronek, who was matched up with Mack much of the night. “He’s going to Ohio State for a reason.
“We definitely had a game plan against him because he can hurt us a lot. We just came out, did what we could, kept the ball out of his hands and let other people beat us.”
FUTURE BUCKEYE TEAMMATES VISIT OHIO STADIUM
Jonathon Cooper and and his Gahanna teammates dispatched Lancaster Friday night 28-21 in double OT. Tuf Borland and Bolingbrook (IL) throttled Joliet (IL) 68-6. To celebrate their victories both stud defensive players watched Ohio State defeat Maryland on the sidelines of the 'Shoe. I can't think of a better way to celebrate a big win than to go to Ohio Stadium with my friends. It appears Jonathon Cooper and Tuf Borland agree.

THE BUCKEYE SHOW
If you're in the Columbus area check out the Buckeye Show every weekday from 6-8 p.m. on 97.1 The Fan. Beanie Wells and Tim Hall improve the Columbus airwaves by sharing their insights on the Buckeyes. Also, you might hear 11W's Jeremy Birmingham. Birm is known to make appearances around 6:45 every other Tuesday.
Apologies to Beanie and Tim for not having Tuf Borland stats two weeks ago. This is not official, but it Borland made 47 tackles in that game it would not be a surprise.
