Rising sophomore center Micah Potter is feeling good about the direction of the Ohio State men’s basketball program.

Just over one month since Chris Holtmann was hired to replace Thad Matta as the Buckeyes’ new coach, Potter says "the vibe that the whole program has already is just light years ahead of what it was."

"We all hated to see Coach Matta go, we loved him to death, loved all the rest of the coaching staff to death," Potter said. "But the change happened, and then Coach Holt has won us over already."

The 2017-18 season is expected to be a rebuilding year for Buckeyes basketball, but Potter said the team's goal for the season can still be defined in just one word: Win.

"Coach Holtmann's goal ... has been do today well," Potter said. "If you build one good day on top of another, and just continue to do that, the culture that builds is a winning culture. With that culture, you can go a long way."
