By Patrick Maks on August 13, 2014 at 2:48p

The Ohio State basketball team will play Minnesota and Michigan as part of ESPN's Super Tuesday series this winter.

The Buckeyes are set to play the Golden Gophers in Minneapolis Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. before hosting the Wolverines Jan. 13 at 7 p.m.

From the school's release:

Ohio State leads the all-time series with Minnesota 81-56 while head coach Thad Matta is 11-6 against the Golden Gophers in 10 seasons at Ohio State. The Buckeyes lead the all-time series with the Wolverines 93-75, including a 53-27 record in Columbus, with Matta posting a 17-6 record all-time against Michigan.

The Buckeyes, which finished 25-10 last season, were swept by Michigan and split its series with Minnesota.

Get more exposure, baby!!! I like it!

You can feed a bobcat all the chili it wants. That don't mean it's going to crap out diamonds.

I love Thad's track record against TTUN, even though they haven't always been elite (or even respectable at times) Thad always places importance on the games.

They will be on National TV more and more this season as the games unfold. Love what Thad is doing recruiting wise.

Wish both games were 9 pm tipoffs.  It is really tough to get to the Schott in time for a 7 pm start.  Go Bucks!  Looking forward to this roundball season!

scUM lost a lot of talent Buckeyes should get the W there, they lost there two best players... Minn always a giant killer, but lost their best player to the NBA too.  W's on NAT TV!

Michigan is still going to be good unfortunately. I threw up in my mouth saying that but Caris Lavert and Derrick Walton are pretty damn good players, and Beilein is a great coach unlike his football counterpart. I hope to be completely wrong but I think it will be an Ohio State-Michigan battle for 2nd place because Wisconsin brings an entire Final Four team back. Hope I'm dead wrong and that the basketball Buckeyes win the Big Ten and make a deep tourney run this year, but 2015-16 is what I'm projecting as the special year (as long as everyone this year stays another year).

He ain't even stretch doe!!

Indeed not wanting to over look anyone... I am not as worried about scUM as I should be I guess.

Isn't Levert coming off surgery?   He might not be 100%...

Do you really think that Walton will be as good as either of the two players drafted in Round 1(Levert if he's healthy is a nice SG with length, and could go in round one as there will be fewer options... he will be the Man so he could go in Rd 1~but will have the best defender on him this time)?

Personally, I don't see scUM being better than last year(or as good FTM)... Great coaching aside.  I think that there is a good chance the Buckeyes WILL be better this coming year with more than one person who can shoot; as well as stronger inside play Lee and Bell.   Might be like Sully light!

We won't have craft, but will have better shooting pieces coming in to help all around positions, and big men to add depth and competition for the 4 and 5, as well Freshman PGs(and Red Shirt Frosh) who are serious offensive threats... There is a good chance that this years Buckeye team will make people's heads turn.

I like your 2015-16 but am hopeful the Buckeyes will put it together a year in advance.  Wisky will be the team to beat, luckily Sparty will not be as strong as last year too....a weaker conference this year I feel will help overall record.

Looking forward to the ESPin games.
