Olympic gold medalist Kyle Snyder and tennis standout Francesca Di Lorenzo are among the four Buckeyes recently named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large teams as a nod to their achievements in the classroom as well as athletic competition.

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) recognizes athletes that are sophomores or better with greater than a 3.3 GPA that also make significant contribution to their athletic teams.

Snyder carries a 3.6 GPA in sport industry in addition to winning two individual NCAA titles and an Olympic gold in freestyle wrestling. Kyle hasn't lost a collegiate match since the NCAA finals in his true freshman season, and has one more season to make his mark in a Buckeye singlet.

Joining Snyder as one of the 10 men chosen to the district at-large team is volleyball standout Christy Blough. Blough is one of Ohio State's recipient's of the 2017 Big Ten Medal of Honor and earned the Corwin A. Fergus Memorial Award and the Varsity O Scholarship thanks to his outstanding work in the classroom.

On the volleyball court, Blough was a key piece of the Buckeyes back-to-back NCAA championships as the senior setter etched his name in the record books with over 4,000 career assists.

Francesca Di Lorenzo has made the most of her time at Ohio State, winning two straight Big Ten Player of the Year awards to go with her two indoor national championships. Di Lorenzo compiled a 25-1 record in her sophomore outdoor season, and will look to add to her personal trophy case this coming weekend as the No. 3 seed Buckeyes take on South Carolina in the team tournament.

Following the team competition, Francesca will be among the front-runners at the individual tournament as the No. 1 seed.

Eleanor Harvey is the fourth Buckeye named to the All-District team, helping the women's foil team to their second consecutive NCAA runner-up finish. Harvey represented her native Canada in the Rio Olympics, earning a seventh place finish in her first Olympic games.

Harvey's academic success has been as consistent as her athletic conquests as she is a four-time OSU Scholar-Athlete and has twice been named Academic All-Big Ten.

According to the CoSIDA, the nominees will be placed on the All-America team ballot, where the first, second, and third team honorees will be announced later in May.
