The CFP = CEW or "Can't Enjoy Wins."

This may be the biggest beef fans have with the CFP and its Selection Committee. Wins aren’t wins. Wins have bloodlines.

Instead of exclaiming, “Ohio State beat Indiana!”, we should pre-empt celebrating and undertake a DNA-analysis of the win. Imagine the game has just ended. Here's how the CFP/Selection Committee expects us to cheer:

"Yay! #6 Ohio State hosted un-ranked Indiana, winning 42-27 and clinching a spot in the B1G Championship Game: Indiana was 3-7 before the game. But, Indiana beat #18 Missouri which is #1 in the SEC East."

Same goes for Baylor, right?

“#7 Baylor beat Oklahoma State!” should be revised to:

"Yay! #7 Baylor hosted un-ranked Oklahoma State, winning 42-27, entering a three-way tie for the lead in the Big 12, which does not play a conference championship game: Oklahoma State was 5-5 before the game, having defeated no ranked opponents."

And this can be even more complicated, of course.

But, why can’t wins just be wins?
