I always watch Michigan when I can. Keep your enemies closer...
My wife - A UM alum - has purchased us tickets to the Outback. It's pretty close to us. I agreed to go, so long as I could 1. wear what I wanted & 2. we agree in advance that I will not be "rooting" for her team. That said, I admit I do want them to win - I mean - The B1G really, really, needs some damn Bowl wins....

Post a blog about how you met, how you reacted inside when you first found out she was a UM alum, and how you dealt with the conflict of interests during courtship. (I imagine a scenario where you met, went out on a date, sat there thinking to yourself "holy shit, this woman's amazing", and then screamed inside when she told you where she went to school.)
I'm serious about this... I bet it's an interesting story!
(not trying to be nosey though)
I agree. This would be an interesting story. Maybe Poison Nuts could write a book and make a few Benjamins off of it.
What would the name of the book be? maybe...

I imagine it to be something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CD29UmTyzmk
except in the end, Poison Nuts and his wife get together again :)

@Baroclincity & BuckeyeDude - You know what's funny, I had a big blog post about this very thing all set up to put out right before The Game but I had very little time to finish it & didn't, but it is an interesting story that I'll write about on here someday...

I'll watch the Michig@n/South Carolina game, but can't say I'm looking forward to seeing Spurrier or Hoke. I do have interest in seeing if Northern Illinois can deflate all things Seminole. I'll be rooting for the upset/MAC Champ, however if FSU dominates the game, I'll lose interest real fast.
The only one of these teams that I don't know for certain to be flawed and highly un-entertaning is NIU. B/c I've never seen one of their games before. So they win by default.
kind of hoping, well really hoping, hhmmm almost praying, the gamecocks and the ol ball coach give aacc a good old fashion curbstomping. yeah that would get my year off to a good start. would like to see clowney face plant denard a half dozen times.
I think the most interesting game is going to be the Stanford-Wisky game. Should be a good battle. But I'll be rooting for South Carolina the most to put a beat down on scUM (too bad Lattimore is out).
Aside from whatever game the Buckeyes may be playing in (or not), it's always the Rose for me. I don't hold much hope for Wisconsin defending the B1G's honor this year, though.
I'll be making the trip accross the state to the Orange Bowl, cheering for the upset.
That would be amazing to see. The MAC was pretty good this year, I think that game will be better than what people think.

Too bad Ohio had so many injuries this season. With the way they played yesterday at full strength, I think they could've given the Noles a good fight.
I honestly cant remember a more disappointing slate of bowl games

I chose the Rose Bowl for the reason that my mom and I will be at the stadium on New Year's Day. It will be my first time there and I'm really looking forward to being at the game.

Are you cheering for the Bielama-less Wisky or Stanford? For me it's a toss up. I expect the B1G to do bad in the bowls, so for credibility sake, I guess Wisky winning is a good thing. But then again it's Wisky, and it's pretty tough to want them to win anything.
That's my dilemma. For the sake of the B1G, I want Wisky to win. Problem is, I just can't will myself to root for them.

Certainly understand that. I just hope it's a good game. Have a great time, man.
It's times like these that I'm grateful I'm a Stanford fan. My hatred of Wisky makes it nigh-impossible to root for them.

I did root for Stanford when they came to the Sun Bowl a few years ago. I'm honestly leaning towards rooting for the Cardinal, but I'm not sure yet.

I think I'll find it a lot easier to root for Wisconsin now that Bielema is gone. But I guess that depends on who they hire. I have a lot of respect for Alvarez, though.

Thanks for the info. I was out of the country for a while and missed the announcement.
