I'd like to think it's true.

As genuine, devout, and (some would disagree) honorable as Tress is, I think in the confines of a locker room in front of trusted players and personnel he could allow himself to embrace the moment and let some language fly. He was a football coach not a Pastor after all. Certainly not everyday language but in that setting I think it was entirely possible.

Yeah - I imagine that the man we saw & heard was not always the same man who time & again motivated a bunch of 20 year old kids to win at a rate that is almost unequaled, so I too would like to believe that's a fairly true story. He may have been a good guy, but he was also a man who's job it was light a fire under the asses of an entire football team. I'm gonna go ahead & buy that story just so I can picture JT hollering & cussing his way to a win..

Sorry, but I am not impressed with Penn State as of now. Who have they beaten so far? Navy, Temple, Illinois, Northwestern, and Iowa? They lost to Ohio and barely escaped Northwestern....Time for Matt McMoxie to come back to earth this saturday.

Northwestern is a decent team, and Ohio is undefeated, albeit against MACtion. We have squeeked by several teams this year as well (Cal, IU, and Purdon't come to mind).

The question should be will he, but how many? I think Bradley Roby goes off in this game and Travis Howard reminds us why he was called "Howard Island" prior to last season. I see the D getting it done in this game and the O going off like no other.

I think that even though there will be bubble screen attempts galore, we bait them early then drop a spy, leading to at least 2 picks, and probably a recovered fumble or two - Simon's going to go medieval and pop a few screws (and footballs) loose.
