All need work but tackling was, not horrendous, but pretty bad at times. Still, some super hits layed out as well and Simon finally got free, which I am very happy about as an indicator of what could be. Bryant was my favorite, the way he got angry and layed the wood and got the game closing Int. They all had their moments but consistency was a big problem. I don't know what to say about Hall... Hall is Hall, good but not great. I would have liked to see some Dunn.
The secondary is just not good enough. Roby is a stud, and can cover. It ends there. Hard hits? So what. Man up so the defensive line can get after it.
I recall Ilinois having a pretty good offense with a first round RB and talented WR. Michigan had a lot of pro talent on offense as well and we basically shut them down at their house.

You win game with offense, but championships are won with defense. We need to go back to tackling, and doing it right.
All of the above need vast improvements.

Thats the option I was looking for lol. Hell we need work in every area listed lol.
Penalties! 11 of them today. Must be addressed.
Agree but a couple of those unsportsmanlike penalties were BS. Some days the refs will let them play and some days they won't.

Other: Stupid Penalties!!!
Real fans stay for Carmen.
Given the options, I say tackling. If you can't tackle, it doesn't matter what else you can do.

Also the converse: Good Tackling covereth a myraid of sins.
Isn't it amazing how bad the defense looks without Tressel on the sideline and Heacock in the booth.....
The defense hasn't been truly dominate since Dantonio left.

The 2007 defense was number one in the nation...
What good offense did OSU play that regular season? A rookie Jake Locker and Washington?
That defense was good, but LSU proved it wasn't great.

How hard is it to wrap your arms around someone when tackling? my lord.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
^^^^^ Exactly!
