I have gone to Stout before Knicks games...a lot of fun and much better than Tonic....I have also gone to Manny's on 92 and 2 in NYC and will be at either Stout or Manny's for the Cal game
Yea, I'm looking forward to the change as well, it will be my first time to Stout. I haven't received an email from the OSU Alumni Club NYC as of yet. Usually we get an email Sunday night/Monday about replying to make a reservation to get a seat. I think they're just a bit rushed in getting everything organized right now. You could email them or just show up Saturday, I'm sure it'll be fine.
For Northern Virginia folk, i'll be at Mister Days of Clarendon, VA for a great Ohio State Saturday atmosphere and tvs...tvs as far as the eyes can see.
agreed. i tend to only want to drive just a little bit though when it comes to the noon games. Mid afternoon and night games give me more time to get to DC instead of about 15 mins down 66 for Mister days. And yes, Mister days is all Ohio State for the most part and they do raffles. Won a pretty sweet OSU lawn chair and a gnome there last year
Do you mean Rhino Bar in Georgetown? That's the OSU bar I generally go to. I will be there most other games but I will be on a bachelor party trip for the opener.
It's super inconvenient to get to via Metro, it's also a Penn State bar, it's super inconvenient to get home via Metro, it's often standing room only, and the clientele is chock full of bro.
Mister Days in Clarendon is an excellent location for NoVA/DC Buckeyes, way better than RiRa was. I am inclined to watch from home this weekend, but that's subject to change. It's always more fun to watch in a crowd of the faithful.
meant to say more earlier, great alumni chapter down here, captain curts is the place, Buckeyes of all ages. Carmen Ohio, OH-IO, got it all. Get there early...pre game is good. Enjoy your vacation and hope to see you next saturday.
Watching it at home. It makes it easier to pay attention to detail that way and alt easier to hear what's going on..but watching it in a sports bar is always more exciting.
I'll be at home watching from home celebrating my 2 day old divorce with my little girl telling her all about Buckeye Football. She is 19 months old and already recognizes OSU stuff and says GO BUCKS and TOUCHDOWN and TOUCHDOWN BRAX. Working on Bubba Biscuits, Simon, and El Guapo. My hopes are to have her recognize players by the end of the season. She will also tell you that Michigan smells like her diaper.
She went to BG, so close enough, but somehow she got tickets to the game and is going with her new BF. I don't mind though, I'll be in the shoe at the end of the season to watch total annhiliation of the turd up north.
Unfortunately I'll at least miss the first half but I have a legit excuse as I'll be watching Navy and Notre Dame play in Dublin. After that I'm hoping to find a pub where I can watch the rest of the Buckeyes' game. Normally I wouldn't think I'd stand a snowballs chance in hell of finding a place showing football but I'm thinking I may have a better shot than normal with all the Americans that will be in town for the game...

The EPL started a week ago and I'm sure that some bar will have the game on with that many Americans in Dublin. If not thefirstrow.eu is the best sports streaming site in the world.
I am leaving Friday night at 5 pm for a seven day canoe trip. We should hit Ely, MN by noon and we hit the water bright and early Sunday morning. I hope to be able to watch the game up there, but if not I will be using BTN2GO to keep an eye on the game.

I'll be watching not just in a bar, but in an alumni game-watch bar!
Speaking of, the OSU NYC game-watches are no longer at Tonic, they've moved to Stout.
Could you tell me about Stout? I live in NJ and would love to get together with some fellow Buckeyes.

For me Stout's is great since it is so close to Penn Station. Do you know if you have to make reservations or what their policy is for game watches?

Is that the only Buckeye bar in the NYC area?

Didn't realize Mr. Days is an Ohio State bar. Might have to check that out.
Rhino Bar in Adam's Morgan is another great spot.

Yea, good call. For some reason, I always think Rhino Bar is in Adam's Morgan.
Never, ever, ever go to Rhino Bar.
Taquitos.
lol i've been several times with no real issues. Any reason you are showing quite the disdain?

But other than that, you love it, right?
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."
Hahaha, Rhino is frequented by the Georgetown U. laxbrahs, their friends, and those who would like to be their friends, most other times.

captain curts oyster bar siesta key
AGL, I'll be in Siesta Key on vacation next weekend during the UCF game. Captain Curts a good spot to watch some games?
Tough times never last, tough people do
the spot on siesta for Buckeye games

at work. :(
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
Closing on our first house on Thursday, so I'll be without cable/painting all weekend. I'd be mad about it, but, well -- I don't really care.
Taquitos.
Congrats.
Congratulations. Take a painting break and hit a sports bar for the game.
Week 2 will be in The Shoe...woo hoo
I hope to catch it at home...but just found out BTN and Dish Network are having a pissing contest.
Same here. If Dish and BTN don't renew (contract expires Sept 1), it'll be the bar at 9am on a Saturday for me!
I will be at Rhino Bar in DC for the game this weekend....anyone else going to be there?
was thinking about making the trek. I tend to stay at Mister Days for the earlier games
"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
I'll be at Rhino Bar... you getting a table?
I'll be on a house boat in Charlotte. It has a TV but I doubt they get BTN. Not too happy about that but I guess the BTN2Go will have to do.
I plan to watch at home. Looking forward to the Bucks destroying the Redhawks.
O-H!!!
I'll be in my regular spot for home games Section 24C Row 20 Seats 10 and 11.
I-O!

i wrote "other" because i'll be sitting in the south endzone, which isn't "inside the shoe"

Home Sweet Home. Unfortunately though I might have to set the DVR and watch it later in the day.

good luck. EPL kicks off on the same day, so I'm sure everyone's crowding the bars to watch "football" or whatever the irish call it.
