Before the Sandusky mess, I would have said Penn State. I've always been a fan of their old-school style, and Joe Pa was an icon before his fall.
I think I would absolutely love being a Wisconsin fan if I had gone there. I have major respect for their student section in football... but since I didn't go there, I really have to hate them for being a bunch of drunk jackasses.
So... I guess my sister-in-law went to Purdue, and they have a good engineering program? gah, the other options in this division kind of all suck. I have a much easier time rooting for Sparty or Nebraska.
What an awful list. I wouldn't want to be part of Illinois' fanbase. They love telling people when their team is slightly above average but seem to vanish when the return to reality. Wisconsin-I literally don't have a big enough heart to clog up with cheese, beer, and arrogance. Believe me I've tried. Penn State-Even before this most recent mess they are college football's creepiest, most cult like following. I'll pass. After the 'Dusky, I'll pass again. Purdue was close for me. A good friend of mine went there and I really like the campus. Then I remembered how I felt after watching OSU lose in 2004 there, and the subsequent junk shots in PH1 and PH2.
That leaves Indiana. Sure, why not. Harmless enough. Hoosiers!
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
Wow, tough question! I didn't realize how lopsided the divisions had become in terms of likeable teams. 10 years ago it would be easy to pick Penn State and Wisconsin 1-2, but now I think of "deal with it" and Bielma for Wisky and... well... almost everyone thinks the same thing when they hear "Penn State", and i don't want to think about that.
The Nerds are probably my favorite B1G team, in no small part due to Pat Fitzgerald. You have to respect Nebraska's history and what Kirk Ferentz does at Iowa (even if he ends up with a disproporationate number of CoY awards). Finally, I remember our latest MNC and that makes me want to root for the fighting Dantonios.
Ended up picking Illinois because of the Tim Beckman association with tOSU, but really not a lot of likeable programs in our division.
I went there for grad school as well. I learned to hate that place like no other... I suppose IU, though Indiana is really sort of an SEC kind of place.
Wiscy - Out! "Deal with it" and Bielema disqualifies what would otherwise be my choice.
PSU - Out! Even prior to the Sandusky situation, PSU's a tough one to root for due to some of the recent close games that PSU's won. PSU and Wisky tie for a distant second in my 'rivalry' factor
Illinois - Out! Hard to root for the Zooker, my heart only has room for one ex-Gator coach. Plus there's that loss in 2007 to consider.
Purdue - Out! Two words .. . Purdue Harbor. It'll be hard for me to root for them until we can go back to beating them on a regular basis after losing to them several times lately.
Indiana - Winners by default. Indiana's a safe team to root for since they hardly ever challenge the Bucks and any upsets they pull off will only help OSU secure B10 titles.

the never threatening indiana, of course. if it werent for bielma, id probably go for wisky though

Illinois...family playing for them this year and zook is gone
11W staff ... please look at server logs and ban all those who voted Wisky. It is the only responsible thing to do.
Yes, please do ^
I can't believe anyone chose Wisconsin..
Must have been a slip of the mouse.
I had a brief encounter with a Badger fan recently. He actually asked me "how does anyone live in Ohio?". No love lost.
vacuuming sucks
Wow, besides the cool summers in Wisconsin, how does anyone live there?
Populations:
Ohio-11,544,951
Wisconsin-5,711,767
There are obvious reasons for these statistics.
impossible to choose
vacuuming sucks
Indiana would be the common sense choice :p
It's like voting whether you'd rather burn, drown or have to watch endless loops of _itchyagain football highlights. worst poll ever
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."

Illinois. Way better more interesting than Indiana or Purdue. Not Wisconsin or Penn State.
Agree 100% and even though Beckman is a good replacement, I loved the Zooker.
You said it man.

I have to go with Illinois. Being a grad student here helps... but I wear OSU shirts all the time.
35 hours to Pasadena! Go Bucks!

Illinois. Only because this can't really go on for Zook any longer.
~Because we couldn't go for three~

Yes, I realize Zook's no longer at Illinois. But it'll be a year or two until that stain's been lifted.
