Civilian use of drones is on the rise to such a point Alabamans are trying to harness the power of tiny flying cameras.

And of course, one Alabama man is in the news for a bizarre incident peripherally-attached to Alabama football.

From Stephanie Taylor of TuscaloosaNews.com:

Tuscaloosa Police say that a drone operated by a man struck a football fan near Bryant-Denny stadium on Saturday.

The department released two photographs taken from the drone video Wednesday afternoon. Within minutes, several CrimeStoppers callers identified the man as a Tuscaloosa native who now lives out of state, department spokesman Sgt. Brent Blankley said.

His name was not released.

Judging by the picture... Tuscaloosa police's suspect is already on the other side of the globe sipping martinis on a beach of a country without an American extradition treaty.
