A note about what "no politics" means

On occasion Ohio State will play games on a Fox network property, as is the case with the B1G CG in Indy. Less often it will play on NBC. Last night Urban Meyer was on Bill O'Reilly's show promoting his book on the Fox News Channel.

A few of you took this as an opportunity to make fun of Fox News. Others took it as an opportunity to make fun of every channel that isn't Fox News. Some of you then said "this isn't political." You don't need me to spell out the political dynamic between cable news channels and those of you who take sides with cable news channels. It's political.

No political commentary also means no proxy, thinly-veiled political commentary. It happened in the thread about the dippy Wisconsin chancellor who thinks Urban and Harbaugh are overpaid and it happened again in the O'Reilly thread. Don't do it. No snide comments, no trying to be clever with a little quip you think is under the radar, nothing. Directing people to a link that talks about the president and saying "read this and that's all you need to know" violates the commenting policy.

If you think the 11W zero tolerance commenting policy around no-politics is emblematic of the pussification of America, how everyone is offended so easily these days, yadda yadda yadda - that's your right too. But talk about it somewhere else - this will never be the place for your scorching hot takes on politics, cable news or peoples' feelings. Thanks. Go Bucks.
