Due to the issues last night and this morning on the political nature of posts, I have a couple suggestions for the staff with regards to dealing with the posts and posters.
1. If a post, such as the two last night, could be construed as political or religious in nature I suggest just disabling the comments and allow the piece to be simply a statement not a forum for discussion.
2. Once a post receives a net -10 vote, regardless of the post, please have them automatically deleted. The only thing I have noticed comes from posts like this that have been left up are continuing down votes, and inflammatory responses which aren't any better. Because the posts are not deleted automatically, people respond to them and create even more controversy.
I, like the rest of you, am an avid Buckeye fan. I come here to learn about the team and have meaningful discussion with everyone involved regardless of political or religious affiliation. Please do the same and keep your religious and political beliefs at the door.
Is it all right to have religious discussions about Irish whisky and food?
