Quick Tip on iFrames

The iFrame is a fancy bit of HTML that many of you are probably used to. How you ask? Because it's the same concept you would use to embed YouTube videos. I've been playing with sizing and such things, and I've found that iFrames could be useful on 11W as a way to show the source for an article.

Let's say you post something saying "Cardale was running with the twos today since Kenny G was injured". A common reply is often along the lines of "source"? Well you could post the link, or you could be fancy and show them the source directly.

The steps for this are:

  1. Click source
  2. Copy+paste iFrame code
  3. Copy and paste the URL where it goes
  4. Submit and refresh (if you can't see your content box)

The bit of iFrame code I was playing with is a rip of the Youtube code, sized correctly for 11W:

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="400" src="URL GOES HERE" width="550"></iframe></p>

It ends up looking like this (I'll link to TheOzone, one of the other popular OSU sites):

Most of you probably won't use this, but I thought I'd share anyway! Go Bucks!
