Reddit is really leaking into 11W

This is the truth. The voting system is modeled after it, there's a thread about notifications on posts-which is something Reddit's infamous orange letter icon is known for, many users are cross-polinating between the two sites, Jason is a big user, etc.
I don't mind it. People do sure need to learn the first rule of votes though.

Yup each comment is another opportunity for the same person to downvote you and increases your hit massively on a large thread.
