Even though comments on stories and the like are threaded, we've long sought to keep our forum comments unthreaded, reflecting the look of other forums around the web. Lately we've been hearing from more and more of you that you would like your forum comments threaded, so we decided to put it to a vote.
If you're wondering what the difference is, threaded comments allow you to respond to each individual comment.

Please visit the poll linked here to make your voice heard. The poll will remain open for one week, after which we will go with the wishes of the 11W commentariat.
If you want to get your electioneer-on, please use the comments here as we have closed the comments on the poll.

Eleven Warriors: A website of the people
^^^ Second!
Pay It Forward!
This is really what makes this site the best on the block. You all take our feedback into account all the time and try to make the site a better experience for us. Thanks!
Thanks for listening and making it an option. You guys/gals are the greatest! I voted "Yes"
I would be really excited to see this happen. I believe it will help the readability of the forums. Not to mention the difficulty we currently deal with trying to have a conversation when other's unrelated comments muddy the waters.

Please, no campaign robo-calls to my house for or against...
I definitely prefer the threaded comments. It makes it much easier to address a specific comment or question of another poster.
It also makes it simple to skip an entire line of arguments between two other people. Or highlight it, whatever floats your boat.

Bump.
I'm being serious here.....what's the difference? Threaded versus unthreaded. Can someone please do their best to give us an unbiased explanation of what we're voting for? Sorry in advance for not being "with it".
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
does threaded mean you would have the ability to respond to a specific comment on a Forum Topic, instead of 5 responses down have to put @ so-and-so to get your point across?
I'm for threading. One Bad, basically threading allows you to respond to each comment individually. Also if I were able to respond to your comment as opposed to just the original post, my comment would be indented to show that I was responding to the comment above it. I think it makes it easier to see who's talking to whom.

Yep, threaded comments allow you to respond directly to other commenters and will kill the need for @USERNAME at the start of replies.
I added a screenshot that shows threaded comments in action.
Why are the poll options yelling at me
Taquitos.
BECAUSE ALL OF THE BIELEMA TALK HAS US ANGRY THIS WEEK.
Whatever the outcome, I will demand a recount.
I love that the example involves my accidentally being downvoted. It's like being momentarily and anonymously 11W famous!! made my day. Yes, I'm easily entertained, don't judge.
Bert Bielema does make me angry. As do the W's on their helmets. and the walmart looking jerseys. And the fact that they run a formation called "the barge." And the fact that they are representing our division for the 2nd straight year to lead off the B1G champ game history books. That is just embarassing.
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."
"Ohioians, why not let us vote on it?" -- new state motto

luckily, both our founding fathers and the editorial staff at 11w had the foresight to realize that any problem we will ever encounter, is best left up to the great people of ohio.
@Jason - threaded please
One final bump. The poll is open for two more days.
The ayes have it. Your forum comments are now threaded.
