I cleaned up a couple of recent user blog posts and wanted to give background here in case the authors were wondering what happened.
A blog post about Torg and Herbstreit was deleted because the ending was padded with "GO BUCKS" on repeat to achieve the minimum word requirement. Don't do this. If you're short on words, take a few minutes and flesh your piece out. If you still can't hit the limit, consider making your blog post a forum topic.
I also deleted a blog post linking to a Salon article about football teams and their relationship to incumbents in elections. I saw this story earlier and while it may be topical for a site like this—particularly because it looked at Ohio State vs Penn State—11W is a politics-free destination. The author did pretty well to keep it clear of political chatter, but our experience proves that it's impossible to keep commenters from veering into partisan chatter. Just avoid stuff like this entirely and we'll all be for the better.
