The 2006 football team. Until the BCS game they were having one of if not the greatest season in Ohio State Football history. We beat #2 ranked teams twice, had the Heisman winner, multiple All-Americans and a slew of other honors. Heck even ESPN was jumping on the bandwagon. If they win that game the 2006 team would be more revered than the 2002 team.
If they win that title game against Florida they'd be going down as one of the greatest nat. champions ever and most definitely one of the greatest seasons (if not the greatest) in OSU football history. They steamrolled their entire schedule and would've had victories over 3 #2 ranked teams as the wire to wire #1 ranked team...had they beaten UFM. Sadly, a combination of the layoff, severely underestimating Florida, not being prepared, the quality of their schedule being a bit of an illusion, Roy Hall + Ted Ginn's ankle, etc. led to the biggest sports let down of my lifetime.
I'm quite sure this thread doesn't belong in "site stuff". But, definitely 06 football
I'd go with 06 football, which were dominant up till the game in the desert against Florida.
If 10-11 basketball had made it to the Final Four and won a championship like everyone thought they were capable of, they would get my vote.
I personally would not classify either of these teams as dominant.
