Woo-hoo, forums update:
- Forum topic list now much cleaner with links to individual pages.
- Forum comment pager added to top of forum topics for easier navigation.
- Forum page size changed to a more manageable 25 comments per page. Hoping the page links on the topic list and the pager at the top helps ease the pain.

I like when you could read every post inside a forum. When new people post, they are yellow, but when its already on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc page, you can't see what the new posts are.
Is there anyway to make the links in the boxes on the right side of the screen that connect to the most recent comments actually go to the page where those comments are made? Right now they just link to the first comments page in that thread.
I'm looking into this. I realize it's frustrating, but Drupal doesn't really handle this use case very well.
Hey Jason,
Have you ever thought about implementing a +/- system to identify which users actually post good stuff?
Maybe not the best for now, but for the future?

And yes, I understand your Drupal woes. Out of all the CMSs I like WordPress the best, simply because Joomla is outdated and Drupal is a bitch.
@RB: Please not. Too much like social networking for my taste. Just my opinion.

Almost all forums have a pos/neg system. It's not like a social network, it just identifies the people who actually contribute vs those who troll.
Jason,
Thanks for the response. I use drupal at work and it still blows me away how many other sites use it as well. This site is still amazing and while at first I didn't think I would like the lower limit of comments per page because I thought it would split up the conversations too much, but I have grown to like it pretty quickly.
Also, while I see some value in the voting things that RB mentioned, I like how clean this site is. There aren't all kinds of weird icons cluttering up the screen (even the ads aren't obtrusive). And adding the icons next to staff and moderators is a good touch that doesn't clutter things too much.
Can you change the color, size, font (whatever) in "REPLIES" whenever there is a new comment (1 NEW)? This would help differentiate them from threads without new comments?
Thanks.
It should be a red hyperlink. Is it not?
