MotSaG Chat with Chris Warren (men of the scarlet and gray)
Tom Herman the offensive coordinator might as well buy a house in Texas because the guy is living down there most of the year recruiting star HS players. The newest target for him is a RB from Rockwall, Texas whose father was an NFL star for many years with the Seattle Seahawks. Chris Warren III is a 6’2″ 220 lbs 4 star RB/Athlete. 247sports ranks him a high 4 star and the 5th best ATH in the country and 57th best overall. ESPN ranks him a 4 star and the 122nd best recruit in the country. Chris is a big and powerful RB the kind of guy that normally wouldn’t fit in a spread type offense but he also has a lot of speed and elusiveness to him that fits perfectly. Coach Meyer has recently expressed that his offense will always be transforming and more Pro-Style will be coming. Chris Warren seems like the ideal guy to have to run both styles at the same time. His Sophomore stats are impressive he had 174 rushed for 1059 yards and 13 TDs along with 10 catches and 100 yards and 2 more TDs. He has 2 more years of HS left to continue to make a name for himself and enjoy the process. I want to thank him for doing this interview with us and I hope you enjoy it…
Johnnie Dixon sets his visit date to Columbus. An Ohio State target receives invite to the Army All American game and a Buckeye basketball target draws comparisons to Tim Duncan.
Ohio State target Johnnie Dixon has set an official date for a visit to Columbus this fall. The electric, four star receiver made it apparent that he will attend the Ohio State-Wisconsin game on September 28th.
With a number of schools vying for Dixon's talents, he also made it clear today that he will be in Tuscaloosa when Alabama hosts LSU. This could be a Buckeye-Crimson Tide battle all the way to the end, but you can never count out a home state school either: In Dixon's case, Miami. Dixon is a scoreboard changing type player. He can catch a five yard pass and extend it to an 80 yard touchdown: a trait that coach Meyer covets. Even if Dixon were to verbal elsewhere before Signing Day, expect Urban Meyer to chase him all the way to the end.
Rutgers recruiting: Noah Brown, Ryan Izzo, Rashan Gary and others attend Rutgers practice, Tuesday (NJ)
The Scarlet Knights hosted multiple offerees and class of 2014 commits on campus, Tuesday. As reported Monday, class of 2014 Pope John XXIII (Sparta, N.J.) wide receiver, Noah Brown, was in attendance along with teammate and fellow senior offeree, Ryan Izzo. The tandem remained on the Rutgers campus into the late evening conversing with head coach Kyle Flood as well as multiple other members of the Rutgers coaching staff.
Brown publicly declared Ohio State his leader a couple weeks back, while Rutgers is believed to still have an outside shot at landing his services. Izzo recently named Rutgers in his top six along with Virginia Tech, Southern Cal, Florida State, Iowa and Wisconsin.
