PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
Taking questions now through Thursday for Buckeye 2014 commitment, Lancaster (Ohio) offensive lineman Kyle Trout. Let 'er rip.
How do you feel about the offensive line recruits that are also committed? What have you done to get some of them on board?
Kyle, being at the Opening, what did you learn about yourself on what you need to work on? Who worked with you during the week and what was the experience like overall?
Is there a difference between Viper and Leo? "No, we just thought Viper sounded cooler."---Coach Mike Vrabel

+1 to negate the dvs. Stupid question, but not offensive in any nature.
What's the highest number of people you pancaked on one play?
Bet you can't say "Bert Bielma is a bumbling buffoon" five times fast.
Did you grow up a Buckeyes fan? Had you attended a Buckeye game while growing up? Did the Carpenters have a influence in your decision to join the Buckeyes?
Its good to be the king
You and the rest of the commits have been extremely active on the recruiting front. Is this something that was asked of you by the staff, or just something you decided as a group to take on yourselves?
I know it is a common question. But what uncommitted recruit, if any, are you talking to the most to join the dream 14 class
On these boards we talk about the facilities and how they look. Seeing Oregon's pictures online was pretty cool, but what do you think is the coolest thing tOSU has in terms of facilities either individually, or collectively?
Who else are we missing on this feature besides last weeks commits?
Can't remember Berger's but maybe he was the first one? Also can't remember P. Campbell or Booker either...
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
First, thanks for taking an active role in leading & recruiting for this class. Decommitments seem to happen in every class at every school. Do you have any concerns about any current commits possibly decommiting before NSD, or do you see the class as rock solid?
I could answer this question. I don't think its appropriate to ask him whether he thinks one of his co-commits is going to decommit. Good question for Birm or the staff, not so much in this interview format.
I stand behind my question. I tried to ask it in a thoughtful way and certainly meant no disrespect to him or any of the other commits. I'm curious as to how member of this class feels about the strength of this class. If whoever is conducting the interview doesn't like the question they won't submit it to him.... Thank you for your thoughts.
I wasn't implying it was going to disrespect him, but asking him to speculate about the rest of the classes commitment puts him in an awkward position. If he says that there has been some talk, then obviously not you, but others will start asking him who, and it may offend other commits that he does not think are fully committed.
I think we will agree to disagree, but +1 for a respectful disagreement because I usually agree with you on the site, and I am tired of these stupid arguments that have been popping up over the last few weeks.
I don't like the arguments either - so we certainly agree on that. Seems to come wih the off-season...I would imagine if asked he would he would likely say the class is solid anyway. I feel like this young man is a bright kid & figured there would be no harm in posing a question of this nature. The most likely case is he's not even asked but decommitments are a reality in today's cfb so I threw it out there.
In terms of your individual position and in working with your other linemates as a unit, what do you see yourself learning from Coach Warinner?
"Success - it's what you do with what you got" - Woody Hayes
Which current Ohio State defensive lineman (commit or current player) do you most look forward to challenging in practice on a daily basis?
What separates you from the rest of the linemen in the '14 class? What does your game bring to the table, and how do you think it will benefit the team?
I consider you and DWebb the leaders of this great class. The '14 group seems closer than any other osu group I can recall, and we're still 7 months from NSD. What makes this such a close knit group? Can't wait for you guys to get on campus!!
Paving the road or protecting the QB, which do you prefer?
Have the coaches or other ol commits talked about what positions you and they are projected to play? Are you going all out for tackle or would you move for PT. also who do you want next to you on the line?
A bit of a goofy question, and non-football related, but given your last name ...
Have you ever been trout fishing?
How much has your red hair contributed to your powerful technique? Do you often look down on the ability of other offensive linemen who have brown or blonde hair?
Do you remember in 3rd grade at Cedar Hieghts Ele. when Dr. Sheets the principal made you cry? What would you do to him today if he pulled that tough guy routine?
In all seriousness, how did it feel to earn that OSU offer and become a part of the 2014 class?
Some people think we’re the hunted.I don’t feel that way at all. We’re the hunter.Everybody wants an angry football team.Everybody wants a team on edge and a hungry team.If you’re a hunter, that usually equates to being hungry.
From a fellow Lancaster Golden Gale (although a nerdy un-athletic one who didn't play football), congrats on carrying on the list of LHS players like Rex Kern, Barry Walker, Ben Gilbert, Bobby Carpenter, Jim Cordle, and Luke Roberts prior to his transfer, who have become Buckeyes. I wonder if there was a particular influence from any former LHS/Buckeye players that aided in you making the decision to commit to OSU, and also, do you see any current LHS players coming up who could follow after you wearing the Scarlet & Gray?
