I know this is a Buckeye blog, but I really like what Michigan and Northwestern are doing on the recruiting front. I have to take my hat off to them.
Michigan has the nation's top running back, Leonard Fournette, visiting this weekend and George Campbell, a top 3 player in next year's class visiting, as well as being a heavy lean. The things Hoke are doing on the recruiting front are phenomenal and good for the rivalry. I got sick of the days where we would out recruit and beat the crap out of Michigan every year. Now, we can at least have them competing on the recruiting part. On the field is a different story though.
Northwestern is also doing great things. I have never seen any Big 10 school other than OSU, UM, Penn State, and Wisconsin, with more than 2 4-star commits. Northwestern last big recruit was Ifeadi Odenigbo and before that, was probably Tyrell Sutton. They may even get more big recruits as the season goes on, considering they are in a good place with other top recruits. To be the best, we have to beat the best. With Penn State going through hell, I think Northwestern is the next school on the rise that will shock college football.
