Hi all! I just heard that prospective OSU QB recruit Brandon Harris out of Louisiana just narrowed his list to his final three: Ohio State, LSU and Auburn. He is set to decide on July 18. When trying to contemplate this situation with an much objectivity as I can, I still feel that S&G would be his best bet. LSU relies more on the running game and has not developed QBs all too well (e.g. Russel). Auburn will be a contender again, but may not get there before Harris' time there would be up. OSU, on the other hand, offers a number of attractive points:
1. projected to be a perennial NC title contender;
2. runs exactly the type of spread offense that Harris was born for;
3. may be looking to replace its starting QB either the year Harris would join the team or could learn under Miller for a year before competing for the starting job; and
4. Meyer has a good track record developing QBs (e.g. Smith, Tebow, Miller).
What do you all think? Would it be such a long shot?
