No sweat.....thanks for posting.
I thought Knox was an OG and Eluemenor an OT?
Yep, Knox was originally thought to be an OT prospect, but was reassessed as an OG prospect a while ago. If anything, their getting a very good OT prospect to work beside him might be a good thing for their selling UCLA to him.
That said, not to jinx it, but I think we'll have an ever better selling point in Jamarco Jones in a couple of weeks. Not to mention the fact that Knox is a serious OSU fan.

My bad....I didn't realize THIS^^was frowned upon. I'll stop...wait...no I won't;-)
THIS^^^ isn't exactly frowned upon. But the lack of using the reply button is frowned upon. Nobody knows what you are THIS^^^^-ing. It could be this. Or that. Or the other.
Whew, I'm glad we got that straightened out! Now on to the recruiting discussion.
Yes, if you "this" thusly, this will lessen the chance that these "this"es will get those downvotes.
Thanks Earle^^^This clears things up and so does that above. Up votes for ALL!
He could get with THIS^^^ or he could get with THAT>>>>
cuz this is where it's at
Hope d knox sees this. I see ucla as r main threat for him
stark county football
Mora, recruiting out west!!Good luck to him out in Cali!! Not being negative, think we got bigger fish to fry and like Mavety a little more. Come on down Mr. Knox!!
another one bites the dust...dropping like flies, hope we can get some on board soon.
I've thought Mavety was the more likely of these two to end up Buckeye, so this is not a huge surprise. Thought he'd make a visit to OSU at least, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Next!
I'm guessing this means he has canceled his OSU visit?
Jermaine Eluemunor commited to #UCLA, tells me he still is planning on being at #OhioState on 6/21.— Jeremy Birmingham (@Birm) June 10, 2013
Jermaine Eluemunor commited to #UCLA, tells me he still is planning on being at #OhioState on 6/21.
Thanks Jordan (and Jeremy). It is interesting that he committed right after his UCLA visit. Might have been a little spur of the moment decision in there. It will be interesting to see if this visit sways his thinking at all.
Why commit to UCLA and then say you're still visiting OSU on the 21st? Shows you how confused some of these kids are during the recruiting process.
Agree with you J. Still think it will end up Knox, Mavety, MJ, JJ, and D.Prince. We'll see. Still a long way to go.
He's already in...I was referring to uncommitted guys. I like what I've seen from all these guys in camp with the exception of Mavety considering he can't participate in camps as far as I know (but his JuCo stuff is really good).
You listed MJ (Marcelys Jones, I'm assuming) so are you naming all the OL or just uncommitted? If you forgot Trout it's cool, just own it lol
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
I would rather see him go to UCLA then Alabama. When he first visited Alabama so many people just assumed that is where he would end up.
UCLA has been an underperforming program for so long. They should be doing better.
Neuhiesel did that team no good
Wherever you are, there you be!
It does show a trend with more and more schools taking JuCo prospects. In the past decade, schools like UCLA, Penn State, OSU, etc have tended to steer away from JuCos, and left them to the lower-tier academic schools like Alabama. Not sure if it's a positive shift or not, but more schools seem open to taking kids from junior college now
This development pretty much makes Mavety the closest thing to a "must get" in this class. The '14 version of the Buckeyes will be loaded at every position with the glaring exception the OL. A couple of game ready JUCOs could make the difference between a serious run at a NC, or just hoping to win a B1G title.
IMO Urban has brought in a way of recruiting that we Buckeye fans are not use to. He covers the entire US and goes after almost every stud out there. With this style, you are gonna miss on more guys. That's just the way it is. Let's face it, every top guy is not gonna select tOSU, but that doesn't stop Urban and his staff from trying to get all of them to at least visit. That's why Urban has been so successful. We are use to Tressel's style of focusing more on Ohio and the Midwest and occasionally having a kid from Florida or the east coast. We need to have more faith in this staff and realize when they miss on a top recruit it just makes them even more dedicated for the next one. Urban will get players! RELENTLESS!
......covers the entire US and goes down under to find a punter!
I wasn't expecting Eluemunor, but, I was expecting a visit. Gotta say, while I'm not one to panic, if we miss on JJones in a few weeks I'm gonna melt down. JAMARCO, WE NEED YOU!
Let's not forget about some of the guys we've got in the previous class who well be another year in coached and conditioned in the program who may surprise some of us. Not to mention if we were to just pull MJones, Knox, Prince, and Mavety w/o JJones we'll still be in great shape, although adding Jones to that haul would be outstanding.
I think one thing that will also appeal to O-linemen prospects is our style. Most O-line prefer to be aggressive - i.e. run blocking - and because we run this power spread I think it will certainly increase the attraction of wanting to play in our system.
You should never really fall in love with the first girl you sleep with.
Bang around young man!
And I get DVs for "This^^^"
1st rule of downvotes...You do not talk about downvotes
How do you tell people not to talk about downvotes without talking about downvotes?
If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. ~ Bruce Lee
Let me break it down for you:
"This^^^" = not contributing anything, not funny
9Routes comment = not contributing anything, but funny as usual
Not saying you aren't a good poster, but if you (or anyone for that matter) are going to post something that pretty much adds nothing to the discussion, at least make someone laugh
You did not get downvoted for doing "This^^^^" you got downvoted for not using the reply button, so it wasn't clear what you were pointing to. I didn't downvote you, but that is why others did.
While I did not think we would get Eluemunor, I am surprised he committed on his first summer visit with four or five more visits to other schools scheduled. We will see if this sticks.
Either way, I am not too concerned for many of the reasons mentioned above in addition to the fact that several other top-quality OL in this class are stronger tOSU leans. And we already have Trout and M. Jones.
Eluemunor and Mavety are being pursued for immediate help. You do not recruit a JUCO to have him sit on the bench. As I mentioned above, OSU is targeting JUCO OL in this class to start in '14. As promising as Trout and M. Jones might be--or J Jones, Prince, Knox for that matter-- none will be expected to start as true freshmen. Losing Eluemunor is a blow, and it would not surprise me at all to see the staff try to dig up another JUCO lineman for this class.
I think the Eluemunor ship sailed a few weeks ago when he "forgot" to include tOSU in his Top 5.
I don't expect to get him, but at least he's still planning to visit.
