PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
This question is more for Jeremy, but Jeremy after his trips to TTUN, MSU, and the bucks, who do you guys all think he goes? Let's go Bucks!
I'm certainly not confident, but what the heck, I say he's a Buckeye!!
I love the optimism, fellas!! I'll join and say bucks too! Having faith in the best closer in the biz!
I think I smell a gray box!
Come on man...
**Edit: You don't have enough helmet stickers to play that game... good luck getting to the ultra-platinum club to receive your custom 11W Ferrari and matching sunglasses.
I have to say, I'm really channeling Vonn Bell on this one in the sense that I wouldn't be the least bit shocked if he ended up at any of his 3 options. I would say personally, though, I think it's 40% OSU, 40% MSU, 20% UM (based on the lack of buzz that seemed to come off of his UM visit -- I think they needed not just a good, but a FANTASTIC visit to really challenge MSU and OSU on him). I've seen MSU as a true challenger all along though based on how many friendships he seems to have developed with MSU commits/players.
I'd love for it to be a situation where he just has a great poker face and it's been OSU all along, the way many recruiting writers appear to feel it has been.
I think it's 40% OSU, 40% MSU, 20% UM
I think it's 40% OSU, 40% MSU, 20% UM
Ditto. I think Ferns needed to be on campus to help make it happen. I have little, to no, optimism on Jones going to UM.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!
This may help clear up the 40%, 40%, 20% stuff. He's 100% Buckeye. I'm sure they'll be some colorful disagreement...He's all OSU!
"I want a hungry team. I want a team that can't wait to get out there. I want an angry team! You're the Ohio State Buckeyes. You're an angry football team. You're a hungry football team and I'm proud to be your coach." UFM
I don't have a disagreement about Jones. He very well may be all Buckeye. Just a word to the wise on 247 Crystal ball predictions:
Exhibit B (notice that Steve W changed his moments before the committment was announced).
I was just going off your Steve L's prediction to be honest. Since he's TTUN's main dog or one of them.. Nice exhibits though...especially Marshall's premature commit all to decommit because he hadn't visited TTUN and Lil brother. I tend to think those were different situations...but who knows may be you're "right";-)
Who's Lawrence Marshall? :->
A kid who we will hopefully replace with Jalyn Holmes who is even higher rated. lol ;)
I think MSU is the biggest competition for him, but I just can't believe he would actually go there (especially with Bollman now there). I suppose Bollman never really had problems recruiting OLinemen, it was what he did with them after they were on campus.
I am less concerned about our OLine recruiting because Warriner is one of the top 2-3 OLine coaches in the country, so even if we don't have all top 5 recruits I think the final product will be solid. That said, because he is such a good coach means that we should have good recruits too.
Remember Bollman doesn't coach the OL there. Dantonio was at least smart enough not to put him charge of that or the whole offense. Apparently he's there in an "advisory" role and to coach TE only for now.
I guess that's true, I had remembered his role at OSU and BC and thought it was similar at MSU. Regardless we have one of the top OLine coaches in the country, so it wouldn't make sense for him to go to MSU but I guess we'll see. If we end up with Prince instead I guess that would be fine too.
I agree with ya 100%. MSU is a 2nd tier program in addition to what you said about Warriner -- I would imagine a player of Jamarco's caliber would prefer to play for a high profile program on national broadcasts, not to mention a legit chance to compete for a national title.
Of course the bigger issue isn't what position Bollman actually coaches oversees observes has on his business card, but rather that a would-be upper-tier B1G program would actually hire him and put him in such a position...
June 27th is my birthday so I'm going to say JJ will give me a gift.
Michigan Ohio State
I also smell a troll...
Can you smell what the Rock is cooking too?

"A troll by any other name is still a troll".
okay, not to pick on MSU but I am baffled why a top OL would consider MSU over ttun or tOSU.
MSU highlights mostly consist of playing the role of the spoiler to ttun or tOSU....
I think it's an Ohio State/Michigan State battle at this point.
Relationships normally win out, and it seems that Jones has better relationships at MSU, but I think in this case Ohio State wins out.
This is what has me worried. I still think Vrabel is the coach he is closest with out of all schools, so that should help. I really hope we don't lose this kid especially to MSU who is going to be a bottom feeder in the B1G East division going forward.
@jbook37: Tomorrow will be huge day in recruiting for Ohio State. 5 star Tackle Damian Prince & 5 Star DT Matt Elam will on campus visiting.
It really would be great if one of those guys pulled the trigger during their visit.
Hope JJ kicks off another streak of commitments
One a week to get us to August Camp would be good!
His position coach at MSU would be the Walrus.
Not sure that is accurate unless they are recruiting him to play tight end. Well... we are talking about the walrus. I expect all their TE's to be in the mold of JJ.
I think he's headed to MSU based on what he said about getting along with and having the same goals as the MSU players/commits. Sucks if it happens, we could really use a win here. I'd put the odds at 80% MSU, 20% OSU, 0% UM.
I think this is pushing it. I could understand 60/40 with the edge to MSU over OSU, but 80/20? You're selling our staff short. The kid has visited 5 times. We are very much in this race and are likely still the frontrunner.
I get leery when a kid visits 5 times and doesn't commit. Just a gut feeling. Sorry if I offended whoever the Neg Nancy is. I would certainly love to be wrong.
Some people just love to down vote. Don't take it personal. Happens to everyone.
Loving all things Buckeye from SEC country in Alabama.

The first rule of downvoting is, don't talk about downvoting.
The second rule of downvoting is you don't talk about downvoting.
I see what you did there.
Thank God someone did - I was on the verge of losing my faith in the commentariat :)

Damn it Bollman you couldn't recruit O lineman here don't F ing start now.
His slogan should be "I turn 5 stars into 3 stars. How do I do it? Effort. Very little effort."
Goo goo g'joob.
"Success - it's what you do with what you got" - Woody Hayes
I think he is headed to MSU. They must have really put everything on the table. This is defintely a wait and see kinda thing.
Spartan. Though I know I wouldn't choose Bollman over Warriner. Not in this lifetime or any other.
Logic tells me that there's just no way a player of Jones' caliber chooses Michigan State over Ohio State knowing that the Buckeyes are going to be losing four starters along the offensive line and knowing that Jim Bollman is the OL coach there at MSU. It's not like Bollman has the great relationship with him, Bollman was at BC last year and then at Purdue/MSU in the last few months only.
And Bollman is.....well, Bollman.
On the other hand, you'd really only have to learn a couple plays - might be easier. Dave, Dave, Mess, Punt.
Uh oh! Jamarco Jones has been seen around the camp circuit wearing this pendant!
well, the red shirt bodes well for you...
