I know most will say that it's only May, and to believe in Urban.
I completely understand both those point, but isn't it weird to most people that after going 12-0, and having Urban, and having so much hype going into 2013 season that we have missed out on so many blue-chip players.
Da'Shawn Hand (I know he still hasn't committed, but I think we can all agree that getting him is a long shot at this point)
Jabrill Peppers (see above, and worse, most likely a Michigan commit)
Dashawn Watson (he won't even visit after a few rounds of begging from our coaching staff)
Demarre Kitt is probably gone with Watson
Myles Autry is iffy at best, especially after Watson and Kitt don't land here.
These are all mostly top 30-40 players who we have had extreme interest in, none of which will be on our roster come next year.
I know we have McMillan, Lattimore and Booker on the horizon, but at this point, I'm wondering about McMillan too. If Watson, Kitt and Autry all stay in the south, there is a lot of time for McMillan to change his tune.
Again, I know its early, but it's just so weird and concerning that we haven't landed one blue chip recruit yet (Webb is borderline IMO), while regional schools have so far done a great job getting commits. Last year we were around the same number of recruits, but we got Apple, Burrows and Marshall early, all top 50 players.......I was hoping for a lot more at this stage, especially after the spring game. In the era of early recruits, I hope we pickup steam quick and pickup at least one other stud before the summer.
