I saw on TOS that Tony Brown is planning to make an official visit to tOSU and that it is the only official he knows for sure he will take. What do you guys think about our shot at landing this guy? I haven't heard much smoke on him or his interest in us but this at least makes it seem like we could have a legitimate chance with this guy.

That's what I'm thinking. While it's not likely, you never know with Urb at the helm.
If I remember correctly, Tony Brown mentioned he was impressed with Coach Coombs during a visit he made to his school. But this could have been said by any recruit that has met him this past year
He's a TX kid correct? If so, thats good news imo..put Texas Tom on the job and when the kid comes for his visit we know exactly who should show him around..cue another JT Barret speech

LSU is perceived by many to be the clear leader for Brown because his sister is going there for track I think and he has said that going to school with her is important to him.
I think I read that Tony Brown is close with Edward Paris, a 2014 safety and current LSU verbal commit. Both players hail from Texas
I read that Tony's sister committed to LSU for track. And that is why he is heavily considering LSU. But Ive never heard he is a "lock to LSU".
I think we have a legit shot at this kid. Ive read several times that OSU is one of those schools that he is very high on and would love to visit a couple times, and he loves coach coombs. Also like turtlebuster said, put Texas Tom on him w/ Coombs and get Meyer involved with his recruitment and we could land this stud. I think we have a heck of a shot at landing this kid. Especially after he has came out and said that OSU will be one of his official visits and thats he only one he seems to have in mind at the moment.

LSU is tough to beat. Sister runs track there. If he comes for the visit there is always a shot. I'd say OSU is #2 right now.
Not only is his sister at LSU, but fellow five star Edward Paris (committed to LSU) and him are on the same 7v7 team, along with a bunch of other studs.
LSU will be hard to beat in this one, especially after his sister enrolled. Can never doubt Urban Meyer and apparently Kerry Coombs, but if this happened, well I don't even know what to say after that lol.
I get that he loves his sister, but it seems a little odd to me for him to have to go to college where his sister is going.

If he ends up going to LSU he isn't doing anything different than a lot of other people do - go to college where family has gone. It happens all over the country. Brown just happens to be a damn good football player as well.

Could you imagine what OSU's defensive backfield will be like with Peppers and Brown in this class...??? It would be great to land either of them...let alone both.
