The way Meyer has pulled off Trey Johnson, Mike Mitchell and Dontre Wilson...not sure I would want to bet against OSU for Vonn Bell.

Clark's HS coach played football for Urban Meyer at UF... UF already has 5 WR's committed in this class... He loved OSU and we have his major... I think Clark ends up at OSU.

Vonn has said several times his #1 factor is relationships with coaches. His mother loves Meyer. Withers has been on him for over a year.

UT guys JUST got there...if relationships are really #1 to him...it will be OSU

in my opinion vonn bell is the best safety recruit in the nation, hes a leader, big hitter, and a playmaker. Vonn Bell WILL be an all american one day

My guess is sour grapes. I think Bama knew he wasn't going to go there, so they did a little rationalization. Make it look like it wasn't a big loss for them.

Unfortunately for us heart wins ou the majority of times with these kids....Eric Berry 2.0 in all aspects including his recruiting...Really wanted Berry too...Turned into an AA and top 10 NFL pick...WOuld be a huge win for Meyer and I never count him out.

I know everyone is excited about Vonn Bell but what about Darron Lee. He's listed as ATH but I thought he was gonna play safety? He looks like a great athlete. Good size and speed.

Yes he is going to play safety. But unlike Bell, Lee will probably need a year or two before he makes an impact.

Everyone is so amped about getting Bell because he has shown he could come in right away and compete for a spot.

I see Lee as a Star position down the road. A hybrid ATH type position ala Jermale Hines with better secondary skill and less LB size.

Huh, ...I dont know who Deborah Berry is, but on that FB post, she makes reference to Trey Johnson basically recruiting Bell down at UT, didnt someone on this forum bring up that theory?... and get shot down with his perposterous conspiricy thoughts of sneaky recruiting tacticts that even Meyer would not come up with? I actually thought it was a brilliant concept and of course there would have to be a front on the coaching staffs part playing dumb. Maybe the coaches did not know about Johnsons visit, but it certainly does not mean he did not have underlining intentions involving Bell.

Bell did not name UT as the favorite publically. I am not sure if I understand the explaination but here is what I found on the Vol247 site in reference to your question.

I think it happened today was Alabama was officially declared out of the picture. Bell didn't make any public statements admitting that Tennessee was his leader. It was just something we marked in our player database after Alabama was eliminated.

1) The information could come from his crackpot brother talking to experts or tweeting stuff

2) Is anyone really surprised that Rivals and 247's experts are torn about the decision of one of the top uncomitted recruits left? I have a feeling his mind is made up, the experts know it and are trying to drum up more signing day buzz. It's good for business on the biggest day of the year for recruiting sites.
