I just saw on Rivals an article on Raekwon McMillan that discusses his recent visit to Clemson and possibly closing the gap on OSU. It's a premium article so I don't know the details. Does anyone have a premium membership to Rivals that they would like to comment on this?

Basically said us and Clemson are sort of tied right now after the visit but he likes both a lot but he will know more after he comes back to TOSU in march or april for spring practices. After that he will come out with a new top five and be able to name a leader which after watching UFM get these guys ready to go in the spring I'd put some money on TOSU being his leader following the visit.
Edit: Also he will be an early enrollee so he will be deciding sometime this fall not at an All-American game like he had previously wanted to do.

Still like our chances. Honestly, with him not caring about announcing at the AA games, I could see him visiting this spring, naming us leader, then coming to FNL and committing then.
You know Meyer will be in his ear about being a leader and recruiting other elites for the class.
It would be great if McMillan committed early and helped recruit those other Georgia players.
I agree 100%. With all the talent coming out of GA this year it can only help to have the #1 high school LB in the country whispering in your ear "come to THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY".

Anyone else think the fact that he said "osu and clemson are kind of tied" bodes VERY WELL for Ohio State? The fact that even AFTER his Clemson visit they still have not surpassed tOSU is a good sign.
Also said he liked UFM and the staff and it would be hard not to play for them. I like our chances.
I am ALMOST 100% sure McMillan will be a Buckeye eventually.

Living in South Carolina now I have been forced to pick a side between South Carolina and Clemson. I went with South Carolina, Clemson fans are the worst and Dabo is a buffoon. That said, good game day atmosphere and nice campus having been there its no surprise they get in on a lot of talent. However, they generally have meltdown games and fall apart to an 8-4 or 9-3 season according to my friends down here its predictable. Hard to imagine McMillan will be hot on them after they stumble in the ACC when he is comparing to what OSU is doing. Think Urban will get this one not concerned about Clemson at all.
After the way Meyer & Co. closed on Feb. 6 i am not worried. Everyone in the 2014 class will be at least a 4* with the chance for as many as four to five 5* players. If we're not the No. 1 class we'll be No. 2 by the hair on your chinny chin chin. Add that haul to 2012 and 2013 and watch out.

I don't really think there is much to worry about right now. If we got into October, Novemeber, or December and he said we were tied then there might be a cause for concern. I think he ends up a Buckeye after we kill it this year.
Why even go to Clemson, seriously. If Urban has time to build a relationship with the dude, we'll be fine. Getting Vonn Bell has to help allot too. Besides, you have to believe that we'll win more games than Clemson.

This is an extremely good point. Knowing that the DL is going to free backers up to make plays has to encourage LBs to be buckeyes.

You don't HAVE to back count the scholarship if a player enrolls early. Typically it only is counted against the previous year if a team goes over the 25 recruits per year limit. Hypothetically speaking if you sign a class of 25 all 25 can enroll early. I believe that's how it works, at least
Also, the players who enrolled early from this class can be back counted, leaving room for members of the 2014 class to be back counted if necessary

tOSU is more than the flavor of the month! Urban has been taking great to a whole new level.
I don't think a team that has won 10 or more games 9 of the last 11 years, could ever be considered the "flavor" of the month.

MN can correct me if I'm wrong, but I read it as him saying that he doesn't think that tOSU is Raekwon's "flavor of the month". That he's much more serious about Ohio State and for a longer time then just a month and then on to the next, newest thing/school. That's just my interpretation though.

I just thought some of you would be interested in seeing this public conversation that Raekwon and Jordan Hall had on Twitter. Don't worry, JHall did a general tweet and Raekwon responded to it so there shouldn't be any worry of a recruiting violation or anything like that:

And judging by the video of Raekwon and his excitement after the mention of Urban Meyer, I'd say he's a strong lean to Ohio State, but just entertaining offers to make sure his decision is right. And to see if Florida or some other SEC school might offer him a new car or house for his parents(joke, joke!). ;)

It's slang...hence....what some ppl type on the net or on phones these days. It's not to seem "urban" or uneducated, I really don't think that's the case (140 Characters goes quick). It's the way some ppl/kids text/tweet...I don't see it being like LaBron's commercial sitting with his kids or nephews and talking like he does to them (I personally see talking like that WAY different than texting or what not). Either way...I wouldn't get too hung up on the dialect...as long as these guys keep winning and attaining guys like Rae Mc...I could really care less. As long as they're not tweeting back and forth about where to get cheap tats right...???

i hope we have enough room for all the primo guys that have osu on their list, im sure the staff will work magic once again. it sure seems like everyone from urban, the asst coaches, the players and the fans have sure been fired up about recruiting momentum since the signing day and i think that will only help with the class of 14 as long as we dont have crazy twitter fans telling 17 year old kids how stupid they are for not going to ohio state
