Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to following recruiting as closely as I have since Urban got here (of course, landing top 3 classes helps that). As a noob recruitnik of sorts, I am wondering what happens with the 17 or 18 kids not already enrolled between now and when they enroll and come to camp. I heard Mike Mitchell wants to come up over his spring break to hit the playbook and weight room. Does the staff send out a workout schedule to follow? I know nutrition is big with the staff, do they send out a nutritional guide? Playbook? (which might be tough for guys who could play either side of the ball) Just curious what the staff is asking these guys to do until they get on campus. Any insight is appreciated, thanks!

Good questions. Unfortunately, I have no answers, but I will bump the thread.
I believe I read last year that Marotti provides them with a workout guide. Anyway, good questions.

Unfortunately they will have limited interaction with the staff until they get on campus in the summer. Everyone will be in and ready to go after May, but until then I doubt they get much help outside of a plan sent to them I guess.
Hence the advantage for early enrollees. So glad we got some really good kids in early. JT will get some awesome help with his recovery. Apple and Marshall should get some much needed strength and work in to help them become a huge part of the start to the season. I wouldn't doubt it if Marshall was on the field from game 1 and Apple becoming the starting CB opposite Roby! I could easily see Apple jumping Doran Grant and the other upperclassmen for the starting spot. He is that good!
I've often wondered this myself.....I have to imagine the following is the order of operations:
1) Fax their LOI (Obviously)
2) Talk to coaching staff and Marotti and get on a diet/regiment while finishing high school.
3) Graduate on schedule/enroll for summer classes
4) Move to Columbus get organized with academics and coaching staff
5) Grind
6) Camp
7) Practice - Grind, Grind, Grind
8) Get a feel for where they stand on the depth chart
9) Compete, Compete, Compete
10) Win, Win, Win

I was a swimmer in high school, and I had some teammates who committed to big D-1 schools. Their college coaches would send them programs to follow before they were enrolled, so I assume that football is similar.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
