2014 Cornerback Jabrill Peppers out of Paramus Catholic in New Jersey is one of the best prospects in the country for the 2014 recruiting class. He has great size (6'1 201 lbs), very strong, has great athleticism, speed and possesses rare ball skills.
A couple weeks ago, ESPN recruiting analyst Jared Shanker was doing a chat session on ESPN.com. I asked him "who is the best recruit you have ever seen?". He responded by saying Jabrill Peppers.
I will remind you that he may or may not have ever seen Jadeveon Clowney, Adrian Peterson, etc. But , still saying that Jabrill is the best recruit he has ever seen is pretty impressive. Jabrill seems to have every attribute of the next great corner.
He by no means is the only very good corner in this class. The Class also features Tony Brown, Damon Webb (OSU commit), Adorree Jackson, Marlon Humphrey among many others.
Peppers is rated as 5 stars by nearly every major website. Scout.com does not have him as a 5 star which is just mind-boggling.
If Ohio State can add the talented Peppers, that would add to recent run of great DB recruits that include Eli Apple, Cam Burrows, Gareon Conley, Jayme Thompson, Vonn Bell, and of course Damon Webb. With possibly adding the likes of Peppers, Blanding (probably UVA though), Nicholson, Smith, Bowers and Lattimore (ATH)

The best ever?

BTW, Shanker is from New Jersey just like Jabrill, that may have impacted his choice a smidge.
Maybe, but I've never heard him talk about any other elite New Jersey prospect before, even Apple.

It will be fun to watch this develop.
Especially if he's wearing the Scarlett and Grey!
Sounds like an All-Everything Superman lockdown shutdown corner, corner-blitzing sack machine. Kerry Coombs is on the job and it looks like its between OSU and Stanford. Bama, Ichhigan,ND are all lower on his list. Any body else know about his interest/comments on the Buckeyes? Maybe I missed an 11W interview or something.
