What's the deal with Jabrill? I heard that he was gonna drop his list down to 5 but never heard anything. If we walk away from this class with Jabrill, Blanding,Webb, and Darius West and add the killer class from last year and our secondary will be second to none next year. I can't wait to see these guys in action!

last I heard we were tied at the top with Stanford for his services per some other posters
Champions Bleed Scarlet & Gray
He mentioned a couple weeks ago a top 5. OSU and Stanford are tied at the top, and Michigan, Notre Dame and Alabama rounding out top 5.
Agree with @chromedome. Also, Peppers has scheduled a visit from April 5-7 to tOSU, and will visit other schools in the spring as well.
^Didn't know he was set to visit as well. That's great news!
Champions Bleed Scarlet & Gray
It's too late. there isn't enough room left. The class is almost finished already.
Good jokes always have at least a little bit of truth to them SMaster
thought I would get it out of the way since the thread was going that way!
+1
Just saw a tweet from someone about Peppers actually. Said that Peppers was pretty much a done deal to Stanford until Ohio State and Michigan started pushing hard for him.
Link??
That's good to hear. I also heard Michigan was his childhood favorite growing up. Michigan has long been in his top group, but I have heard skwadoosh in the last 3 months until this.

If you do a Google search for: - jabrill peppers top ohio state michigan growing up - it will have an excerpt from an article from yesterday that has Peppers saying (and I'm summarizing here) that him liking Michigan as a child won't be a factor and also confirms that Stanford, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Alabama are his top five. I'd post a screen shot of my Google search but, even though it's on Google, I don't want the chance of it being called "pay" material since I don't have a paid account to read the whole article. If you want to see what I saw on Google do the above search or just click here.
You're right Gray Box. I actually found snippets from that paywalled article at TOS last night. I can't see anything Scout.com at work.
He also said something to the effect of: "If I'm lucky enough to make it to the NFL, I'm probably not going to get to play for the Cowboys (my childhood favorite)." He was justifying why Michigan being a favorite team won't play a big role.
(Even though it's completely different, IMO, choosing a college vs being drafted).
Anyway, it certainly can't hurt Michigan's chances that he used to like them.
+1 for the find.

Bahaha I haven't heard squadoosh in quite a while. I love that word. Now I could have just upvoted you for it, but then that would mean that I would be endorsing your hope that Peppers goes up north, and we can't have that! OK, enough with my relatively meaningless post, back to your regularly scheduled program.
+1 because your "meaningless" post made me laugh.

Coombs has been recruiting the NJ area I believe?
Sounds like its gonna be a fight with Stanford for him. Maybe not a heavyweight boxing match like Vonn Bells recruitment but the fact he put us even with Stanford after almost committing to them says a lot of what he thinks of us. I like our odds with Urban "the closer" Meyer.
If he's related to Julius Peppers - that's some damn good athletic bloodlines yo
For me Jabrill Peppers is the 2014 of Vonn Bell as far as the recruitment goes. I really want Peppers in this class and I think it's going to come down to the wire.....let's hope Jabrill's recruitment turns out like Vonn's and he ends up picking the good guys.
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
Peppers is way better than Bell IMO
Different positions. Now you could have an argument for Blanding over Bell, but it's hard to compare a corner to a safety
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
I definetly want Peppers and do think it will be a dog fight for him. It will also be interesting to see who gets shut out between all of the db's we are in on.
Webb-Commit
Laurence Jones- tOSU is his dream school but will he leave the south?
Peppers- Has tOSU tied with Stanford for his top spot.
Blanding- Said too have tOSU on top and is suppose to decide in a month or so.
Todd Kelly Jr- Vols legacy but I think we have a pretty good chance at him.
Nicholason- Grew up In Columbus and loves the buckeyes.
Lattimore- Heavy tOSU lean some including myself see him playing receiver in college but my opinion has changed after the Nike camp performance.
Erick Smith- Buckeye lean.
When someone shows you who they are believe them! In other words piss a good friend off and see what they really think about you.
I know we are looking at 4-5 o Lineman and are looking for playmakers in every class but I would like blanding peppers Kelly jr lattimore and Webb and if all these 5 want to commit or be in this class I just don't see how we turn any of them away with the talent they all have.
add in the high amount of talent at LB wanting in... Schollys are going to tough to get!
I agree I could see atleast 12 scholarships going to offensive lineman, linebackers, and defensive backs! Crazy to think that!
I agree and definetly will be hard to pass on any of those guys but I think smith gets in. We are L.Jones dream school but he is said too be very close with his mom and likely would need her blessing to go that far from home so I don't think we get him but anything can happen in the world of recruiting.

Has he said when he's going to decide?
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
If we wind up getting Peppers, Blanding, and Kelly. Put a fork in us cause we are done recruiting secondary. Count It!!!
On my x-mas wish list for sure. Lets get him to C-Bus, Urban.
