Favorite non-staff posters?

For me, it's easily GeneStarwind and Buckeye_in_SEC_country. Gene brings more information than any other non-staff member, and SEC_country brings good info and I almost always agree with his insight.

Well, first, this is probably going to get moved to the "Anything Else" Forum, pretty soon.

Hmm, let's see here. Hail2victors9, M Man, Blueinconsin, Bluebayou, ohiobornmichiganbred, fergodsakes...

My favorite has to be Hodge. He is so often a voice of reason, but also a man's man. He chimes in on just about every topic from Brady Hoke's nose hairs to the finest brews across the world. Hodge is either a walking encyclopedia or the best internet knowledge finder known to man. Actually, I think he's just incredibly smart, sharp, and quick witted. A great representation of OSU. Most of all he's fair to my kind and all others. A toast to you Hodge.

I like Hodge, and Hayze. Definitely, Buck.I.8, because of his cynicism and jokes. OSUFORLIFE is one of my all-time favs though. M Man is a beast though too.

I agree with a scUM supporter. EWWW. (J/K) I have always respected the comments from Hodge and Maestro. They never go off the deep end with hatred or vitriol. These two are the best representatives for the Bucks both on this site and I am sure at the games. What is there to gain by being a jerk in your word or your actions? I also have to say that our UM patrons have been a welcome addition to the 11W community. I really love it when we kick meat chicken, but I don't like the verbal or physical abuse.

I agree with Hail, Hodge is one of my favorites.

In general though, I just want to say, I appreciate the overall respect given on the forum. There aren't a lot of boards that would be so kind to others with differing opinions, and the patrons of this site do a good job of that.

Awesome! I've wanted to be a daddy for a long time, so I'm pretty stoked... Went in for a non-stress test yesterday, and Gizmo (our pet nickname for my little Princess-in-waiting) is apparently snug as a bug in there... Figure we've got a few more days yet, but yes, I'm on quasi-baby watch at this point :) Wish me luck! (And same to you!)

I value the input of pretty much everybody on here. I think that's what makes this site so great -- is the "football IQ" of everybody seems higher than any other site, and of course the 11W staff is second to none.

Gene is great, Denny is funny, osuforlife made me LOL, GrayBox is up-and-coming, AndyVance is a talented writer...Hodge...I could go on and on.

Out of posters I haven't seen already named on here, I'd have to say AESCULUS. His The Population Myth blog was one of the most well written and researched things I've seen on any Buckeye/sports site/boards! The conversation it sparked was very good too. His might not post often but when he does his posts are usually insightful and thought provoking or funny.

Everyone is pretty much awesome though to be honest - everyone has a lane from the insiders to thought provokers, to those offering persepctive behind enemy lines and people who are just flat out hilarious!

It's hard to go for several hours without bouncing back here to see what's going on because of those truths along with the stellar staff.

Definitely an exciting time to be a Buckeye fan.

Hodge is a favorite for post quality, endless knowledge, and entertainment. Maestro and AndyVance also deliver in this area.

I'm a big fan of Gene and BuckI.8 for recruiting posts and analysis. GrayBox is a new poster I'm enjoying a lot on recruiting topics, too.

Finally, I respect the reasoned, relatively objective posts from M Man and Hail2Victors9. They reliably further any conversations about TTUN on this site.

So many favorites and so little time. Way too many people making 11W the best Buckeye site on the net. I may be 700 miles from the 'Shoe, but for an hour or so a night, I'm right there. The moderate people (people who try to see both sides) on this site make it great for me. Maestro stands out to me, maybe it is just his avatar?

Gene obviously and Gray has been really solid. In general, it would be easier to list the posters I do not care for.

Wow - I haven't been on in like a whole day & just came on & saw this. I'm actually very honored that a few people chose to mention me along with many of the great posters & commenters here. Thanks kindly!

Unfortunately, I can't really name any favorites as I am sure I would leave someone out & while I hate the practice of "everyone gets a trophy & nobody loses" - in this case, everyone gets a trophy. I gotta say & I know this thread is a big love fest already, this is far & away the best site, sports or otherwise, I have ever found or been on. Pretty much all the regulars here (all who've commented on this thread already & many more) are my favorites as the commentary & forums are a big, if not the biggest reason that I'm here so much.

I will throw out there that GSW really goes above & beyond as a contributor. It's pretty selfless to put that much work into a daily forum post so big ups to Gene...Dr. Kenneth Noisewater probably has my favorite username ever & maybe I missed it but I didn't see Doc mentioned & he should be...Thanks to everyone here - Go Bucks!

My suggestion would be to change your screenname to something more memorable, NKOHL13. You have too many random letters and numbers.

I hate when auto companies name their cars like this: MX5, MKR, 9⁵, instead of Camaro, Corvette, Mustang.

Just a suggestion. Not like I'm an expert or anything. I didn't even make honorable mention on anybody's list.

My favorite is BuckeyeJason. He doesn't give a rat's ass if he offends you, nor if you disagree with his opinion. He also doesn't drink the OSU Kool-Aid and is a realist throughout the season. Not a bully but its easy to see how some could be offended by what he post at random times, although he's kinda faded away during the off season. The Michigan folk around here are all good posters too.

Hodge, Maestro and BTalbert are my favs.

#1) Hodge, as mentioned, by another, is like a walking encyclopedia, and seems eccentric. Wouldn't doubt him if he admitted he was related to Albert Einstein.

#2) Maestro has the best sense of humor. Witty remarks always get a thumbs up from me.

#3) BTalbert is cool. Almost always agree with him.

#4) I do have to admit I like MMan on these boards. He seems to always have a lot of valuable insight and info from behind enemy lines.

edit: also, the new guy, don't know his name, that always is on top of the recruiting news. He gets a shout out. Can't remember his name, damnit....

- Hodge/Brewsters/Maestro - they've been steady and insightful posters here as long as I've been here.

- Urbzrenewal - always quick on the info

- Hail - because let's face it, he's an OSU fan

This thread is great! I have never seen so many examples of "Bromance" in one place in my entire life! :) Seriously though, I have to reiterate what several people have said. This is the ONLY blog i can tolerate across all of the internets and World Wide Webs put together because the trolling seems to be controlled by all. Everyone seems to have quality posts, and something to contribute to the conversation. Obvioulsy a large reason for this is that the staff makes the environment such that it stays that way. I feel a sense of community here.

Why would I be surprised by this? WE ARE BUCKEYES!

Joking aside, while I enjoy a great many posters on this site, Denny is one of my personal favorites. I usually have no idea what he's talking about and since I don't get many of his references, I'm always googling stuff he posts. I've learned a great many things about the Internet from Denny. And i really like taquitos too.
