You can multiple the Diggs and Anzalone talk by 100 and it still wouldn't equal the amount Timmons was talked about. At least Anzalone and Diggs had realistic shots at becoming a Buckeye w/ Anzalone actually committing at one point... Timmons was never more than an insurance policy if that. Edit: I actually think it was a Timmons comment because Elastik was attacking his Timmons opinions in relation to Clark/Wilson, so yes, it works.

Seems like a good kid and I'm sure he will do just fine down in Lexington, but it would have been nice to see him in Scarlet and Gray had we not had the scholly reduction.
Waycracken, I know a lot of people give you shit about your admiration of this young man, but I will admit i have grown to be a fan of his and had you not brought him to light in these forums i doubt anybody would have any idea who he was. Thank you very much for all your work on his highlights and stats and hopefully this will open the door for others to bring some talented people into the spotlight as you did with Ryan Timmons.
As steensn said, he may be the most talked about non-osu player of all time, but there are bigger problems in the world than multiple threads on a player who considered coming to tOSU.

Thanks for the video. He seems to be a very humble kid and very well spoken. I hope Ryan does well at UK. He has the character to make it in anything he chooses.
I don't get it. What's with all the Timmons threads? Is the guy Urban didn't visit? Did OSU really lose a recruit to UK? Again, all this attention to this guy is baffling to me.
I became a Timmons fan due to Waycrackens persistent posting. The young man is very talented and was a big fan of tOSU. It wasn't meant to be and I wish him the best of luck at UK. Personally, I'd rather talk about Timmons over Alex D. Commit, Gangnam Granny, or firing Fickell.

i became a timmons fan before i ever heard of waycracken. i have known about ryan since he was a freshman, he will do well at uk and TOSU will do well too. would have been nice to seen him in scarlet and gray. i hope he isnt able to recruit his good friend drew barker to join him at uk, barker is visiting uk this weekend with ryan. now its time to move on and get ready to enjoy corey smith, dontre wilson, james clark, zeke, jalin, bell, mitchell, bosa and others. i can hardly believe the class urban and the coaching staff just signed. the 2014 class will be as good , if not better. when does the season start? not soon enough.

I just can't believe Urban would lose to UK in recruiting yet I keep seeing threads about this guy. Sorry, I just can't buy the argument he passed on an OSU offer to go to UK. Call me an arrogant fan.
I guess you weren't around for the past 3 months. Waycraken, the OP, has kept us up to date, almost daily, on the Ryan Timmons recruitment. Most people have come to the conclusion that his offer wasn't committable and his only true offer towards the end was with UK. He was the most talked about recruit on 11w without a scholarship offer.
I imagine we'll hear about him after he wins his 6th heisman and then cures AIDS

Just so you guys are aware, this will happen again with another recruit. It happens every year. One or 2 recruits gets talked about on here all over the place.
Get used to it, next year will be the same thing about another player.
FYI, half of the posts on Timmons were anti-posts. So really can't pin all the timmons talk to just Waycraken and the people wanting him to be a buckeye. Just saying!
Well hopefully the recruit that comes up next year will actually be an OSU caliber player. The Timmons attention on this website was literally just because Waycracken is a good hype man and "brainwashed" (for lack of a better term) half the site into thinking he is the next Reggie Bush. Nothing aginst the kid, hope he does well, but i could not be happier were done taking about him.

Hard to say Timmons isn't OSU quality because if we had 3 more scholarships anyone could almost guarantee he'd be a buckeye now. I think the coaches hesistated to legit offer him for 2 reasons:he played against not the best football competition in KY and he's mainly a RB. We are stacked at RB and looking for more a receiver/ Hybrid guy and the coaches didn't think he'd make the transition as fast vs Wilson or Clark who played those positions
Don't jump to that point so quickly. If we had more scholarships I believe that Derrick Green would've gotten the spot over him and perhaps a linebacker. More scholarship options early on would've led to different guys getting looks early.

Good point, more scholarships mean guys like McCray, Kimbrough, Green would have more than likely been in this class. Timmons probably would still not be more than an insurance. I'm sure Urban will be kicking himself after Timmons wins his fourth straight Heisman, and has led UK to their third straight National Title.
I gotta say all the recruits Meyer has been interested in seem to have really good character. A good look at Timmons on the video. They all seem to realize what a big decision they are making and get overwellmed with emotion because of the selfless support they recieved along the way (family, coaches, friends).
So many guys just get up there to announce with a "do what I gotta do" attitude.
For the people who are bashing Waycracken, I really don't get it. The guys likes Timmons and hasn't been bashful about it. How could you even be surprised that he started this thread. It really doesn't suprise me either, cause isn't that the point. We pick the guys we like, wear there jersy, root for them, talk about them....called being a fan. Makes me think some people are fans of Waycracken for saving up his comments and then waiting for the right time to "strike". wtf?!? who gives a shit, this is the internet people.

Waycracken, I've enjoyed having you as a fellow poster. Yeah sometimes you can have blinders for Timmons but I also have to admit that I also enjoyed reading your posts about the young man. In so doing, I think you made your place on these forums and I don't think you should let the few that have been rude to you keep you from enjoying the site! I would love to see you stick around buddy!
I'll keep this short and sweet. I was interested in Timmons during the recruitment. I defended Waycracken at that time. He ain't coming to OSU. I'll half way pay attention to what he does at Kentucky for the sake of curiosity of what might of been. Other than that I am ready to move on. I wish the "elevenwarrior nation" was right there with me. I'm starting to feel trolled.

Had chip kelly not left oregon, dontre wilson doesn't flip. Which means you're looking for someone to fill that role. And whether you want to admit or not, timmons fills that spot. Saying he wasn't osu cali8ber is kind of silly...if he wasn't, then no offer would have been made. Conditional or otherwise. Kids a pretty solid athlete and football player. Hope he does well at uk...but what's done is done. He's a wildcat, not a buckeye. And that needs to be the end of it.
As an aside, before people get all particular about the status of his offer or what option he was...fact of the matter is the kid can obviously play football. He has some serious quicks, good vision and can make people miss. Urban stayed in contact with this kid because he saw something he liked. He just didn't like what he brought to the table as much as he liked what dontre wilson did.

i'm all for you waytoomuchcrakin. While i rember way back in the day where i fell in love with a recruit(for the protection and the restraining order i can't name).i just loved how he ran and held on to the ball so firmly,oh i think i got to take a break.

I think it's become a little more than an obsession.
I appreciate Waycraken and all of his hard work keeping us posted with Timmons stats. It wasn't meant to bother everyone who didn't care. All he wanted to do was provide those who were interested the information on a good kid with unreal football stats. I think OSU would be lucky to have a kid like him. I think it's a shame we never got to see him against better competition to prove himself because the one point we always went back to when he scored a TD every other play was "look who he is playing against". So thank you Waycraken, and best of luck to Mr. Timmons at UK.
Way, I have defended you and I really was on board with Timmons. I really think he can become a heck of a player and I actually might try and make a UK game this year to see him and this new offense that should score.
but this post wasn't necessary man. A farewell thread when you did already say its done just wasn't wise man.

I have the utmost respect for everyones opinion that have expressed it genuinely and that would include everyone. I made a mistake posting this last forum. Believe it or not it was the third one I posted in the last 12 weeks. I have commented on dozens of other ones I KNOW. If I wasnt a Buckeye fan I would have never made it here in the first place. Ive never promoted or commented on him on any UK Arkansas UF UWV Cal Missouri Illini or any other site. My Buckeyes come first.
