Thats an eye opening look at the difference in facilities between tOSU and 99% of the other programs. I mean, they have women's soccer acomplishments lining their hallways, we have Heismans and Crystal Balls.
The problem is his mother's team may be on the wall.

Just watched...looks like a video from a man who is very proud of his son...to me it was also a 'thanks for everything OSU - but we might be moving on' type of message. Time will tell but I personally expect Zeke might be a Tiger soon. That's just what I got from it - we'll see. Best of luck either way...

I also got it as a thank you to coach Meyer and the Buckeyes, but he is going to Missouri. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think it ends good when dad says basically some won't like it, but nothing is over until Feb. 6th.

If he wants to flip to Mizzou, then he needs to do what's best. I hope he enjoys 4th-5th in the SEC east while we are winning conference titles and raising crystal balls.
Good luck to him either way. I really want him in scarlet and gray, but his family needs to do what they feel is best.

The pull to stay home is strong. It would have to be to turn down what we can offer in terms of exposure, big games, etc. And I did not realize until this video that Mizzou is basically one really long concrete hallway.
Here is how I see it. I really want EZE in this class because I feel he will HELP to be a part of something amazing here. If he doesn't have that same feeling inside then maybe Mizzou is best for him. At some point you have to decide if you want to be "the man" on a mediocre team, or a piece of the finest puzzle going after it all.
I have no idea what he is feeling, and I hope he makes the best choice for him that makes him happy.
EZE if you are reading, we would really love you to be a part of THE OSU puzzle.

Just think that video was a homage to his son. I find it pretty much impossible to take anything away from that video in regards to his college decision.

Talked to someone tonight that is a bit connected to situation that is very sure Ezekiel signs with OSU.
But for now, judging a home video his father put together isn't the way to go if you want to figure this one out.
By the way, it was an awesome video. For me, that would be a special thing to hold onto and to have when I was older.
Yeah, I personally don't see the pro-Mizzou anti-OSU element that some people are posting about. I thought he was very fair, and the video seemed like it was honoring both fanbases. The last quote though I'd say, if anything, swung the video slightly in OSU's favor if we're going to read anything into it.
You're right on about it being something for him to hold onto forever & his father is obviously a very proud man & with good reason. My very first thought was that the kid is lucky to have a dad that is that proud...
I said above that I took a message of 'thanks for what you did for us - we love you even if he doesn't come there' from the video. That said, it could also be a video of his son's experiences, nothing more, nothing less. Maybe there is no message at all but with 1 day until NSD, and a deafening silence - there's going to be speculation, that's just how it goes.

The speculation will never go away. Once this is over we will move on to speculating the 2014 class.
Like many others, I felt like this video had a "respect to OSU but I am going with Mizzou" vibe. Like most of us, I view college football through Scarlett-colored glasses so in the context of this video anything Mizzou is bad for us. Thus my own bias could be causing me to read too much into it.
Its tough to say because as William pointed out it could just be a homage to his son. Maybe it is a chance for the Elliot family to show both fan bases what a tough choice it will be or maybe he is just documenting the recruiting process to show what it is like to those of us that will never go through it.
If he does choose to go to Mizzou I really hope our fans refrain from all negative junk on twitter, etc. I was embarrased by how some of our fan base reacted to the James Quick news. It bothers me that we (as a group) will celebrate when a kid flips from another team to the Buckeyes but then go after kids from flipping away from us. I know all fanbases do it but I dont care about other fan bases.
One thing I can say for certain... If he chooses to go to Mizzou I will have mixed feelings about that Kerry Coombs speech that currently is a part of my workout mix.
By the way, I have to agree with what Derek said earlier... It was a great video to watch. It would be interesting to see what Papa Elliot could do in terms of making a full fledged documentary about his son's reruiting process.
(Of course, it will be much easier to watch the hypothetical documentary if my team wins :) )

Unfortunately I have to agree with you there. His father's language right there, combined with the fact that the video ended on the Mizzou side... Seems to me that the underlying and unspoken message of the video is that he enjoyed Ohio State but Mizzou has crept back in and must have some intangible that is winning him over.
I'll be glad he if decides to stay with The Ohio State University. However, if he goes to Missouri, good for them. Folks, the program is never about one player. The last time I looked, our running back position is stacked with Carlos Hyde, Rod Smith, Jordan Hall, Brionte Dunn, and Warren Ball (I'm anxious to see what he's all about). If Zeke comes to Ohio State, he's gotta earn it and battle with these fellas. Makes no difference to me -- with or without Zeke, there's gonna be a battle at running back at The Ohio State University for years to come. Best wishes for him, whatever he decides.

I dont understand whats going on here. Herman and Meyer made it very clear to Eze that Dontre Wilson is being recruited for a different position. Then, either out of spite or out of respect for this parent's alma mater, he goes and visits Missouri. Afterwards he goes silent and releases cryptic tweet after cryptic tweet and videos like this. This is sadism at its finest.
Edit: And just so people dont think I am attacking him or his parents I am not. I am simply stating my utter confusion for what is transpiring with his recruitment.

It's tough to get a read, but I think Derek is right. Shouldn't try to read to much into it. I think it is just a video made by a proud father. Maybe the comment at the end was thanking Coach Meyer for showing the family what greatness truly is, as in they thought Mizzou was great until they were brought in to be part of the Buckeye family.

It might be the father showing great pride in his son but at the same time tring to give his school one last shoot at getting his son to be a legacy there. We do not know what this is about i hope he comes to The Ohio State University but if he does not then i wish him the best of luck.

1. Mizzou's facilities look like a high school
2. It would a huge troll job and insult to Meyer to finish that video with that quote and then go to Mizzou
3. No problem with the video...but i think EE's parents are enjoying this process more than EE.
4. Think they want some sort of drama tomorrow so they have created the doubt....even if it isn't real
5. IF EE is not picking osu because of Wilson...then I am pretty sure he isn't the guy Meyer thought he was. Meyer's #1 foundation of his program is COMPETITION. If EE is shying away because of this...then I am not sure he survives under Meyer anyway
I think he comes here...but if he doesn't then whatever. OSU is stocked at RB and will pull in another beast next year....I do want EE in this class. No sour grapes....but I wish he would have just reaffirmed...maybe he did to the osu coaches...and that is all that matters

I think he follows through and comes to OSU. If he would end up not coming to OSU it would be a strange scenario indeed. He seems to have focused much, much more attention on his situation than would have been, had he made the Mizzou visit and left it at that. It is easy to see how someone trying to read into things would do so. He and his family seem like great people and he has yet to find out the amount of support awaits him as a Buckeye..but he will.
I think he is in this class. I don't see how he could pass up what Urban is building to play at Mizzou. Home state or not, something special is brewing in CBUS.
If he goes to Mizzou then he is scared of competition and is content with mediocrity. We don't need anyone like that. But I really, really doubt he leaves.
