12 REC 161 YDS 1 TD vs. 2012 Ohio D1 State Champs Moeller:

Definitely a fan! Watched his highlight film before and he reminds me a bit of Brian Robiskie.
+1 I see a little bit of Robo and he's 6'5" and runs a 4.5 40 with good hands!
Might win the award for worst highlight music.... good lord.
On another note, same high school that produced Posey, GCL school, stiff competition. Put up good stats.
Probably a family member doing that song, I'm thinking an uncle.
Which means YOU BETTER LIKE IT or he won't come here....
Don't Seantrel us, Krime!

Maybe this is more Krime's speed?
......
Between Derek Kief, Drake Harris, Saeed Blacknall, and Dallis Todd... it is safe to say that OSU will finally land a big receiver. Throw Josh Malone as a long-shot on there too. Just too bad we don't have more room in this class.
Highlights look good and the most intriguing thing is certainly his size if actually a legit 6'5". Agree with you guys about the highlight music. Pretty cool to have an entire song about him that goes with his highlights. What kind of other offers does he currently hold?
11 others including ours. Kentucky, Boston College, Vanderbilt, etc. No one big except us.
Jalin Marshall had even less offers, a couple good ones but not a lot, when he committed to us just over a year ago. I'd hope Urban would get offers to kids he wants before too many, if any, other big schools do, especially if they are Ohio kids!
Pretty different situation, IMO. Much like Shane Morris. Everyone in the world knew Marshall was an OSU lock, and he committed in the first half of February. Plus, if the recruit doesn't report the offers, they rarely are known.

Hail, I think you just helped me make my point, in that even well known recruits don't always have the most amount of offers by now. Shane Morris, an early 5 Star, only had 9 (reported) offers when he commited on 2/6/12. Braxton was considered by many to be a tOSU "lock" but that didn't stop him from getting a lot more offers. My main point is that it's not uncommon for even good players to not have a lot of offers at this point. It doesn't mean Kief, a lesser known recruit then Marshall or Morris was at this point, won't get more offers or he won't be a good one. EzE was offered by Urban when he didn't have a lot of other offers, he committed to tOSU, did really well in camps, he got a lot more recognition, was considered a "lock" to Ohio State and then there was a lot of drama with the thought of him switching and going with the hometown school. I could go on and on with examples. Yes, the examples aren't necessarily exactly the same, but I think they help get my point across, nonetheless. Also, it's only mid-February and if Kief committed today I think it would make the similarities go up (not saying he will commit today or even ever) just IF he did today it would make it even more similar to the Marshall situation IMO.
Well said. +1

DO WANT. 6 feet 5 inches good speed
I feel like this kid has the potential to be a great blocking reciever too.
He's definetly a legit 6'5. Played AAU ball with him for awhile. Great player, great dude, and his family is awesome. Very very smart kid as well. I want a big, tall receiver and Kief would be great. Also comes from the beloved GCL, lol. He played all right vs us last year with 5 catches for 40 yards and a touchdown (controversal), but got the win 34 to 28. When he was a sophomore he made the game winning catch against us with 2 seconds left.
Who's the "us" you keep referring to? Moeller?

I agree. My ears still hurt. I had to turn that down while watching video.

Thank you for the warning, I hit mute after 10 seconds.

UK has a good shot with this kid. His team mate and good friend from LaSalle (Jaleel Hychtte) is attending UK. BTAlbert I wouldnt under estimate the new staff at UK. I do think they are building something special there.
Give it a few years. Kentucky is selling that they are an up and coming program and that kids can be a part of building something special. Kind of like Zook did at Illinois. More than likely they will remain the doormat of the SEC. However I hope Kentucky can snag the Ohio kids that we don't have room for instead of TSUN or ND. Also for the next four years they should be referred to as"The Fighting Timmons" instead of Wildcats.
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
Love the fact that he plays good competition, you could see Moeller, Saint Xavier, Watterson, and DeSales plainly in the video. It would be nice to have a tall receiver in the mold of AJ Green or Julio Jones to throw to. Mix that with the absolute speedburners that we brought in this year and we'd have a nice stable of young guys.
Posey was a stud in HS as well. The fact that Keif has set the single game and single season records for receptions at LaSalle and still hasn't played his senior year says a lot to me. I like this kid a lot.
aj green and julio jones are diff animals... i hope hes close to as good as them but as optimisitic as i am those 2 you referenced are exceptional
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
To bad he's in north Kentucky and not closer to Columbus. Hope he comes here. But we all know the chances of pulling guys from north Kentucky is.
You seem to have some definite resentment towards Cincinnati. That's a shame. Urban Meyer, Kerry Coombs, Dielsel Washington, Joe Burger, Andrew Norwell. All currently part of the OSU machine and all have Cincinnati roots. As long as Meyer/Coombs are here, I like our chances with any Cincinnati kid as long as OSU shows real interest (which, in many cases is the underlying issue with Cincinnati football prospects who have legitimate interest in OSU).
There are plenty of kids from Cleveland, Columbus, and Toledo who have chosen to go to other schools, so it's not just Cincinnati that has seen a few get away. Perception is a real bitch sometimes.
It is a well known fact that Cincy is not the biggest OSU fanbase. Toledo is Michigan South, I didn't pick on Cincy only, I just didn't think it was pertinent to give a dissertation on every city in the state when it isn't relevant. It is a clearly in OSU's favor that a recruit be an OSU fan, no one can deny that, it is true for every school.
Well it is called Cintucky for a reason.
But Ohio State "hate" is Cincy has more to do with bitter Cincy fans.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
I think it would be fair to call Kief a more polished TY Williams... look out Mel Kiper Jr.
+1 He definitely has a similar body type and height. TY was the first guy that came to mind when I say Kief was 6'5". I hope he, or Dallis Todd or some other tall WR, can fill that role that I always hoped TY would have.
+1 Dallis Todd has crazy acceleration for his height and looks shifty in one-on-one situations whereas Kief is more of a stretched out possession receiver. I have been so high on Todd since I saw his highlight reel for the first time a month back. He looks more exciting than even Drake Harris, who I consider more of a "throw it up, and he'll go get it" jump-oriented receiver.
In case anyone is wondering, Kurekic on Bucknuts said that his offer is definitely commitable.
+1 That good news! There aren't too many guys with his size, speed and hands. If he doesn't commit somewhere soon, I'll be interested to see his much his recruitment takes off. 's
I wonder what our chances are on this one? I would be super happy if we got Lattimor, Kitt, and Kief and call it a day on WR's. I'd rank that pretty high on the WR front.
6 foot 8 wingspan too!!! Sign him up!
