Clifton Garrett also got a Nike Camp invite.
Good to see Marshall down there staying in those guys' ears. Hopefully Core6 gets to the point where it basically just embodies another OSU pipeline HS.
I hope the Core6 gets to that point too. I know that Marshall will be there and he is already starting to recruit Kitt so I'm sure he'll be on these guys too. Webb is already on Jamarco as well and Johnson wanted to commit earlier. I only see good things with all these guys playing together and like you said I.8 hopefully it just continues in the future!
Just another reason this coaching staff is one of the best in the country in recruiting.
They have established a great relationship with this organization.
They know its not just about impressing the kid but his inner circle.
I will be at the Core 6 Showcase in Cincinnati so I should have some content to put up following the event.
I will also be in Indianapolis the day after for the Best of the Midwest Combine.
Some guys that will be there:
2015 RB Damien Harris, 2015 QB Jayru Campbell, 2015 RB Mike Weber, 2015 DL Josh Alabi, 2015 WR Brian Cole, Marshon Lattimore, Marcelys Jones, Damon Webb, Lonnie Johnson, Dominique Booth, Dorian Hendrix, and Airius Moore
Derek, I'm looking forward to hear your report on how both Cincy and Indy go!
Side note: today is Damien Harris's birthday and he posted this photo (yesterday) that he took during his visit to tOSU on his instagram with this caption, "I gotta feeling Rae likes Ohio State football!"

As Derek said, we will be there and have some great coverage for you from Cincy and Indy
That's great to hear 11W will be at both Cincy and Indy. I can't wait to see the covarge you guys provide! Thanks for all the amazing info you guys give us!
Would Garrett pull the trigger during this trip?
Hard to say. He's gone from OSU is leader, to MSU is leader (only for like a week lol) to OSU and ND are leaders to OSU leads (current state). He's also flip flopped between announcing later in the cycle (AA game or signing day) to announcing relatively early.
I think it's safe to say OSU is in a good spot and Meyer will more than likely ask for a commitment but I don't think he'll commit quite yet.
I think it depends on how many LBs Urban wants in this potentially small class. He might not really push Garrett because he wants Booker and McMillian in for sure. It also seems the staff is pressing Berger harder than Garrett also.
You also have to figure that Booker could potentially move to the Viper spot. Word is he's still growing and a move there certainly isn't out of the question. I'd take all four LBs with the possibility of moving Booker.
I actually think Berger OR Booker, or possibly both are candidates to outgrow linebacker. They're comparing Berger to Jake Ryan, who we've seen outgrow his position as pure lb. I think Berger would move to viper, while Booker has the possibility of becoming a true DE, or at least a LEO.
The staff would absolutely take all 4. My guess would is and how I see them from film would be Kwon (MLB) Garrett (SAM) Berger (WLB) and Booker at LEO/Viper. If we land all 4 I would like to see them in a 3-4 a little more.
If the staff doesn't think at least one of them is a candidate for LEO/Viper/pure DE, then I don't think they would take 4 in a class of this size. That said, I think that they do see one or more of those guys moving around, so I wouldn't worry.
Are coaches allowed to attend these event? I am guessing they are not allowed to officially be involved but I didn't know if they could watch these prospects go up against each other in order to get a better idea of how their talent actually stacks up against other good athletes.
The potential for this class is breaking my Hype-Meter!
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
Next to commit?
I will say L. Johnson or D. Booker
Can someone clarify to me how this weekend works? Garrett's tweets make it sound like he's visiting OSU, but I know the event is in Cincy. Is the Core6 group heading over to campus too, or do they just refer to OSU coaches being at the event? It's just an hr up the road but...thanks for clearing this up!

The Core6 event is Sunday, February 17th, 12pm-3pm, in Cincy. I would venture to guess they get to tOSU sometime on Friday, or even Saturday morning, and visit all Saturday. They could leave Sunday morning with plenty of time to make it to the event by noon.
I don't believe Urban will allow L. Johnson to commit this early. This may turn out similar to the Corn Elder situation, where they won't let him commit until closer to NSD or if other guys higher on the list commit elsewhere. I think Urban wants to see what happens with Drake Harris, Demarre Kitt, Myles Autry and possibly even Trevion Thompson
If we pull 3 out of those 4 do we still take Lonnie?
Really, I get down-voted for asking a question? I guess your not supposed to do that in this forum.
Maybe someone "fat fingered" a thumbs up. You'd know all about that, right Peter? :)
lol :)
Impressive video. He even toasts Garrett once...

+1 That he does and it appears he did it again today at the Core6 Showcase:
Just before Clifton Garrett is supposed to be in Cincy for the Core6 event, Kentucky offers him (today).
