Still in High School

We all know that recruiting is not necesarilly about all about what a prospect looks like right now, or even a year from now. It's about projections. How will they physically mature, and grasp the game. If they have the football instincts that are hard to teach. Some recruits don't have that much more room to grow when they step on campus as a freshman, and others need a year or two to mature and be in the weight room to be ready. Reaching a ceiling in high school means people are going to catch up to and pass you in college. Who in the 2013 class do you think has the most room to grow physically. Of course, they can all improve technique and different skills. I am talking purely about their athletic limitations. Also, Who is coming in at the closest to their ceiling physically.

To me Darron Lee may be one of the lower ranking recruits, but he seems to have a lot of room for growth. IMHO he has the potential to turn into a real playmaker on defense.

Then as to who is physically closest to their peek I'd go with Cam Burrows. I am not saying he won't be a good/great player. I just don't see his body changing much. He's already over 200 pounds, so as a cornerback that is a max, and if he switches to safety just a little more weight.

Side Note- Raekwon McMillan kind of has a baby face. Is he growing beyond the 6'3" 240lbs?

Taivon Jacobs will have to put on 20 pounds, probably.  Gareon Conley will have to put on some weight as well, probably 15-20 pounds.  He can easily carry that, considering his frame.  I'd expect Tim Gardner to slim down, considering he is at 340, probably want him in the 300 range.  Probably take a RS this season.  I reckon Tracy Sprinkle will add on weight as well.

I was going off of height/weight from here: http://ohiostate.rivals.com/

Help is on the way.

I think Gardner has already slimmed down.  It was rumored that is what earned him the offer.

Agreed, but I'd imagive he still has work to do.

Help is on the way.

I think Jacobs is obviously the guy who has to grow physically and put on some weight. Physically maxed out might be Joey Bosa in my opinion.

Bosa reminds me a lot of Simon, who was also a physical freak in high school. As we now know, Simon wasn't anywhere close to maxed out.

That's what Mickey's program is for....getting these guys either leaner....or bigger (or both).  It worked OK last year;-)
