Does anyone know/understand Rivals' method for determining team recruiting rankings? I'm having a hard time concluding why, based on Rivals' numbers and not my own thoughts, OSU is ranked ahead of Michigan. Michigan has a) more recruits, b) a higher "star" average, c) more 5-stars than us (one to our zero), d) more 4-stars than us (15 to our 14). We end up with more points, though, which puts us ahead of them.
First, I know different sites are more reliable than others blah blah, and stars don't mean anything blah blah, and scUM sucks etc. etc. Just something I noticed, though. I truly think we have a better class right now, but it seemed weird that they had us "beat" in every column except final points.

Thanks for inputs!

Bam, well played...
Simple as that - thanks!! I do remember seeing their ratings (outside of stars) - e.g. 5.9, 6.1. So yeah, we have more quality 4 stars and 3 stars etc. Cool. Preciate the help, y'all!
probably has something to do with us maybe having more high 4 stars and they have a lot of low 4 stars
tOSU is ranked higher than Tsun in every recruiting database except Scout.
