Ohio State Football Recruiting: Breaking Down Battle for Cornelius Elder (bleacher report)
Ohio State 2013 process of recruiting is coming to an end soon and it's time to break down the battle for Cornelius Elder.
Elder, the seventh-ranked athlete in the country according to 247sports, is considering Ohio State in addition to UCLA, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.
The 5'10", 165-pound athlete played running back and safety in high school, as well as basketball at Ensworth High School in Nashville.
The possibility of Elder opting to play basketball on the next level complicates matters in recruiting him, as his talent on the court is getting notice at the collegiate level.
Elder named the schools that are recruiting him on the hardwood: "Western Kentucky, MTSU, College of Charleston, Northeastern and Florida Gulf Coast,” he said.
No one other than Elder knows whether he will play basketball or football, but clearly the Buckeyes are hoping for the latter.
Elder is a waterbug athlete who could play either defense or offense. He's incredibly fast and the Buckeyes are seemingly closing in on him.

Ohio State Football Recruiting: Why Buckeyes Need to Sign Vonn Bell (bleacher report)
Vonn Bell is one of the best uncommitted players in the nation, and if Ohio State football wants to improve its defense, it needs to sign him.
Bell is the 27th overall player in the nation and the second-ranked safety, according to 247 Sports.
The 6'0", 190-pound safety is considering Tennessee and Alabama, in addition to Ohio State,
Bell is considered an elite safety, with incredible athleticism. He has great ball skills and is already comfortable in coverage, according to B/R's Full Ride
It's clear that the Buckeyes need Bell. Their defense ranked No. 76 in the nation in passing yards allowed per game. That's worse than it looks, because the Big Ten conference lacks elite passers.
Bell has the kind of elite talent that could make him an instant starter in Columbus. He has NFL-type skills and would add a dynamic playmaker to the Buckeyes secondary.
Ohio State was an elite team last season, going undefeated. NCAA sanctions kept it out of the championship game, but they surely would have been there otherwise.

Raekwon McMillian and Demarre Kitt are also at Bama. Thanks for the updates Gene!
Thank you
ESPN saying ohio state offered Dallis Todd, WR from Cali
That was in yesterday's post
oh haha. look at me thinking i know whats going on in recruiting now that i use this site
No problem, I appreciate you looking out though
Thank u Gene. I thought u were going to take the wknd off
Not entirely, I can find time, but I won't be glued to a device.
Gene, its almost not worth losing your marriage over.
Thanks.
Lol no problem
That is very funny sir.

Gene read a tweet cant copy and paste on IPad but it said Cameron Hunt will be visiting again next weekend.
Edit: it was by Midwest Recruiting so not sure how much truth there is to it but Tong G at Ozone retweeted thought Id throw it out there for you.
He already visited on the 13th. Don't see him coming here on his own dime.
I'm impressed with Dallis Todd's vision, size, and strength, he could work on his route running, but I must say, he's a favorite of mine for hoping to land him. Can never have too many 6'5" and 210 LBS recievers with excellent speed and vision to work with speedsters in guys like Marshell, Clark, and Wilson (if Clark and Wilson sign that is).
Derrick Green Chooses tTUN....had a feeling this would happen back when the decision was made to stop recruiting a second RB. Not sure how to feel about this...besides...get ready to get hit harder than you ever have before when OSU and tTUN play. Yeah...that seems to do it.

I guess I never doubted where he would go after two things: 1. We stopped recruiting him. 2. Within a few weeks he raved about hanging out at the BBQ with the many huge OL recruits UM landed. I figured it was only a matter of time after this pic:
He looked pretty happy. Won't last long, though. Hope he enjoys 0-4 vs. OSU.
jean shorts huh? i guess he'll fit in well up there!
Right? kid needs to take some advice from time traveling Blake Griffin.
I hope he gets baptized with a Jadeveon Clowney-esque hit.
Surprised he didn't sign with Florida wearing Jorts
f-ing JORTS! Bahahahaaaaa
And, what is that - a rhinestone belt?! He's definitely a Michigan "man"

Thanks Gene
Love the Trout and Todd offers!!

Updated
I understand we have position needs and everything, but i'm curious as to why we aren't in the running at all for Robert Nkemdiche. Our haul last year at DE was great but Nkemdiche is a beast. Is he simply just not interested in OSU?
He has no interest in OSU and UFM has no interest in him. Nkemdiche seems to be quite a diva in the recruiting process, aka: someone who Urban won't touch.
Nkemdiche's mom is also pushing for him to go to Ole Miss and play with his brother.

-Former OSU S&C Coach Lichter
yeah i know about the thing with his mom and brother.
but oh well. if he's a prima donna kind of guy then i'd rather not have him on the roster. it's a shame though. I think he's gonna be a good one.
So not long before we get a Lonnie Johnson makes #3(or #4 depending on Trout) graybox.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
