I thought it would be fun to predict the landing spot for each target and then review it after the dust has settled. Here is my shot in the dark:
Ryan Timmons- Kentucky
Dontre Wilson- Ohio State
James Clark- Ohio State
Cameron Hunt- Ohio State
Vonn Bell- Ohio State
Corn Elder- Purdue (Basketball)
Darren Carrington- Arizona
Corey Smith- Mississippi State
Call me a homer but I think that's how it finishes off this year. Predictions anyone?

OH KNOW! I see a plane of down vote bombs comming!
.......but for the record, I like your picks and hope they come true
I could really care less if I get downvoted or not I started a thread to predict and if you would like to that's appreciated if not well then I guess this thread isn't for you.
As I said, I like your picks. It just appears that in these final weeks of recruiting that anytime some starts a "what do you think" thread, planes come a swoopin in! Take it from a newbie that got hit by it blindsided.
FWIW.....if your picks all come true I will be the first to offer you a drink at a game this year. And if I can find some hottie standing nearby to give you a kiss, I will do that as well!
I see nothing wrong with this thread, just having a little fun. If you do not like it do not read it. By the way Urban_Can_Recruit is not a newbie.
I don't think you understand what I said at all. I see nothing wrong with his post either. I did something similar myself once and got hammered for "another what do you think" thread. I was the newbie!
I also said I liked his picks and would offer him a drink if they came true!
I explain that I was misunderstood, and agree with the guy and I get down voted three times. Real class!
when I am someday so privileged to be able to vote I promise to never be a computer tough guy voter, vote with haste, and be able to take a joke and post at face value. We are all here for recreation.
Vote on my friend, vote on.
Since you say you're new, I'll share the advice that most people learn the hard way. Live with the downvotes. Pointing them out usually just warrants more of them.
Another point well taken. I really do enjoy everyone's post and discussions. Just surprised how it went when I felt I tried to do the right thing.
We learn lessons and move on. Again, thanks for the tip.
No problem. Upvote for your trouble. Also, it's almost inevitable that you'll get a stalker from time to time that downvotes everything you post. Take this more as a testament to your track record as a poster, not as a bad thing. You'll see from my post above and in other threads that someone evidently has a crush on me, which I take in stride.
I'm a heckler ... not a downvoter.
Anyone call you bro today, bro??
Well then you're a perfect example. Your uncanny ability to comment on 80% of my posts is effectively a commendation of my record.
I only agree with 75% of your posts, bro. Your knowledge and reasoning are strong. Your wisdom needs some honing.
It's a bitch to be young, bro!
Speak for yourself, I'm enjoying my youth
And I knew that you were going to say that, paduwan
Ryan Timmons- Kentucky
Dontre Wilson- Oregon
James Clark- Ohio State
Cameron Hunt- Ohio State
Vonn Bell- Alabama
Corn Elder- UCLA
Darren Carrington- Arizona, No idea
Corey Smith- If no Clark, then OSU.
I'm willing to bet the farm that Smith is the next to commit to OSU.
Gut feelin'
LOL!
I sure hope youre right...
What makes you think Vonn Bell to Ohio State? Just a guess?
Everything I have seen has it pointing towards Bama or Tennessee
It's a guess but they said Bama then he visits UT and now are saying Vol and it makes OSU the dark horse that no one is talking about. I just think no one can get a true read on Vonn and they are trying to guess but he is the only one that truelly knows and I like us being the dark horse.
Pretty sure Urban is doing an in home with him today too. I love your picks, let's ride!
Just a life long Buckeye fan wanting to talk to other lifelong Buckeye fans. Our honor defend, we will fight to the end for OOO HIIII OOOOOO!
I don't believe Urban has an in home left with Bell, does he?
"They don't know what they don't know." - Coach Mick
No he does not. Used it at the championship game
Timmons and Clark. That's our final 2.
Bell- UT
Wilson- Oregon
Elder- Vandy
Carrington- IDK
Hunt- IDK
i think we end up with bell.... i personally think that is why trey johnson visited ut just to get in his ear a little more
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
Mike Farrell thinks you need a new hobby. Lol
Timmons, Clark, Bell to OSU. JMO - totally a shot in the dark...
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
Homer!
Just kidding, highly unlikely, but I'm hoping you're some sort of recruiting Nostradamus.
Realistically I see us getting Wilson. Anyone past that is much more of a coin toss. Timmons is still a last resort but I expect him to end up at Kentucky. I don't see Hunt coming to OSU, too far from home IMO. Would love to get Clark and I definitely think he's the second most likely after Wilson to play for the good guys. Carrington feels like a "too little, too late" situation and if other options pan out I don't think he'd be in the picture anyways. Smith would be a good get for the immediate future but not really a make or break recruit. Lastly, Bell is much more speculation and guessing. I doubt he has a good idea where he'll go right now, but I think when the dust settles Tennessee will make a strong push but he'll be all Bama, never really felt like we had a firm lead at any point in his recruitment.
but what do any of us really know? 17 year old kids are fickle.
Wilson and bell will close this class with a bang.

Original poster nailed it
Vonn Bell- The Ohio State University
James Clark- The Ohio State University
Dontre Wilson- The Ohio State University
Ryan Timmons- The Ohio State University
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Can you say.....END WITH A BANG! That would be stellar!
If Ohio State lands them, i'll apologize to the 11w member I called insane for skydiving.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
If I had to guess... Timmons and Clark to OSU. Bell to Alabama. Wilson stays at Oregon. I really wish that we land another OL. Though, I wouldn't be surprised to see Urban pull a last minute flip.
I think in the end the combination of Bell's relationship with Urban, his mom's love for Coach Withers and the favorable depth chart with a chance to play for titles lands Bell at tOSU. I also think it seems like James Clark was enamored with all things Ohio State so I could see him signing as well. We miss on Hunt and hit on Wilson. Last thee to sign... Wilson, Clark, and Bell. WR/Slot will be affirmed and we will hit the home run with Bell to close out.
Bell- Tenn I know this small but he didn't about any of his
Visits until he got to Tenn.
Timmons-Buckeye He's always wanted in he said no hard
Feeling about the offer but we'll see also he'll be deciding
Friday and I think he has an in home Wed with Herman.
Elder- I'm just not sure.
Clark- Loved his visit! He was even tweeting at Coach Herman
And Pantoni today asking when are doing that freestyle they
talked about so he loves him some Tom Herman called him
the funniest OC in the country- Clark Buckeye.
Hunt- To hard to tell.
Smith- Grades dont clear
Carrington- dont see him leaving the west coast.
When someone shows you who they are believe them! In other words piss a good friend off and see what they really think about you.
Ryan Timmons- Kentucky (don't feel he's convinced that he'll be a #1, #2, #3 option at OSU or Florida, think he'll go to Kentucky because they've prioritized him)
Dontre Wilson- Oregon (his relationship with Oregon RB's coach Gary Campbell seems like his closest relationship with any coach, I feel that'll eventually win out)
James Clark - Ohio State (seems to have felt the love from OSU during his visit, I think OSU has prioritized him even more than Clemson or Florida lately, and that'll make a difference)
Cameron Hunt- CAL (I heard today that he's down to CAL and Oregon, if true think he stays with CAL)
Vonn Bell - TENN (Rumours earlier that he told the coaches at TENN that he's a VOL, if true not a big surprise; Bama is apparently out according to Rival's Andrew Bone)
Corn Elder- UCLA (allure of the football/basketball option, I think OSU opts for Clark and Smith over Elder)
Darren Carrington - Oregon (flirts with some other schools, ends up back where he started)
Corey Smith- Ohio State (think the transcripts go through [if that is indeed what they're waiting for] and he ends up at OSU, which he seemed to love during his visit)
Yup, this is exactly what I think as well
Cause I couldn't go for three
I would put my eggs in this basket, as well. I think a coin flip on Timmons though for OSU.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!
~Bo Schembechler
Timmons - Kentucky
Wilson - Oregon
James Clark - Ohio State
Cameron Hunt - Oregon
Von Bell - Ohio State
Corn Elder - Purdue
Darren Carrington - Arizona
Corey Smith - Mississippi State
Buckeye till I'm dead
Change Bell to the Vols and youve nailed it, unfortunately.
I try to live life with hopeful optimism haha
Buckeye till I'm dead
Ryan Timmons- Ohio State
Dontre Wilson- Oregon
James Clark- Clemson
Cameron Hunt- Ohio State
Vonn Bell- Ohio State
Corn Elder- Vanderbilt
Darren Carrington- Arizona
Corey Smith- Mississippi State
Timmmons to uk. Bell to bama. Wilson and clark to tosu. And a surprise flip.
Those in the know are saying Alabama does not have room for Vonn Bell. They have Eddie Jackson ranked higher than Vonn and want him instead. The Vols are sure he is theirs and as mentioned above by others he has told someone he is going to UT. This is rumor and you can read about it on this UT board. There are five total pages of chat as of this post.
http://tennessee.247sports.com/Board/114/Five-star-Bell-talks-Tennessee-...
Not that I wouldn't love it, but isn't predicting Bell wishful thinking? Based off all the information we've heard, I don't see it.
Ryan Timmons- Kentucky
Dontre Wilson- Oregon
James Clark- Ohio State
Cameron Hunt- Oregon
Vonn Bell- Vols
Corn Elder- Vanderbilt
Corey Smith- Ohio State
Greg Jennings "I put my team on my back"
Timmons and/or Clark is all I realistically seeing happening. I'm not worrying too much about it, our class is solid top to bottom and will have multiple starters from it in the future.
"Sherman ran an option play right through the south" - Greatest.Civil.War.Analogy.Ever
This will be unpopular I'm sure but i will go against the grain and say we don't get any of them. I will however say perhaps Corey Smith, contingent upon his academics...tough to predict how that will work out.
Since this is a game of semi-educated (but still wild) guesses, here's my take:
Ryan Timmons - Kentucky
Corey Smith - Miss. St.
Vonn Bell - OSU
James Clark - OSU
Cameron Hunt - Cal (no flip to Oregon)
Darren Carrington - Arizona
Corn Elder - UCLA
Dontre Wilson - Oregon
Ezekiel Elliot - OSU
+ Add 1 more to the class for OSU - someone not currently listed.
I think it's funy how only a few weeks from NLOID people are predicting some magical flip out of nowhere...
Cause I couldn't go for three
If OSU gets both Wilson and Clark, then there won't be a spot for Timmons. No way they take all 3.
I wanna hear Alex's prediction!
Bell- I really want him to pick tosu and think we still have a chance. Bama.
Wilson- I see us getting him, especially if urban still has an in home. He said it was 50-50 yesterday in genes post. TOSU
Clark- I didnt think we would have a chance with him because we offered so late, but after that visit I pick us. TOSU
Hunt- Cal or Oregon. no real reason just dont think he will come out here.
I dont think we are getting anyone else.
The rest of this class is going to be based of the decisions of 3 guys IMO. Zeke Bell and Hunt.
If Zeke stays and Bell and Hunt commits you'll see the staff push for 1 of Wilson or Clark with Smith Elder and Timmons behind them
Just a guess I think we land Bell based on his relationship with Withers and Meyer. I think ppl take his brothers tweets too seriously. Zeke stays, and we miss on Hunt. Then we push for two of those guys I mentioned above FL has 5 WR committed so I think its btw us and Clemson who only has 2 WR committed and 3 ATH that could be moved there too.
Its a coin toss with Wilson btw us and Oregon although I still think we have a solid shot deals not done yet.
Timmons goes to UK unfortunately
Smith stays with Miss St as the staff keeps pushing off his transcripts
Elder- i think we got a good shot with him unless his heart is really set in bball
Carrington- Not us
Best post in this thread
Clark - Buckeye
Wilson - Buckeye
Hunt - Duck
Timmons - Wildcats
Smith - Bulldog
Bell - Vol
Elder - Boiler
Carrington - Duck
Champions Bleed Scarlet & Gray
Ryan Timmons- Ohio state
Dontre Wilson- Oregon
James Clark- Clemson
Cameron Hunt- Oregon
Vonn Bell- Bama
Corn Elder- UCLA
Darren Carrington- Oregon
Corey Smith- Mississippi State
Cameron Hunt is quickly rising on the "we need" list...
Agreed especially after O' Connor left and we're graduating 4 seniors after next season
Edit: I think Munger is a sleeper on O line and he could quickly find himself in the 2 deep as well
Hunt was impressive, and I certainly hope he is in this class. Unfortunately, he has indicated that he wants to stay on the west coast, so I think he is a long shot to be in this class (I hope I'm wrong). However, I'm not as worried about oline for two reasons. 1) With Decker, Dodson, Baldwin, Lisle, Gardner, Elflein, Boren, and probably Munger or Price switching over I think we have a number of guys in the hopper already for Warinner to develop and 2) 2014 is a loaded OL class, with many of the guys stating that tOSU is high on their list.
Color my slightly more worried than you. Not slamming on any kid, just a little uneasy on the depth. Injuries and guys not fitting to the mold happen quite often on the line. the lack of attention to the line for the 2 previous years leading up to last year put a spot light on the problem... IMHO.
I think you will all be shocked come the 6th of February..
And you won't be?
If this class ends like last years did, then no.. Not at all..
I was just thinking as I was reading these comments about how we possibly wouldnt be talking about these kids if it wasnt for Coach Meyer. I for one am stoked about who we have but....
Timmons- Buckeyes
Wilson- Buckeyes
Hunt- Buckeyes
Bell- ????
I am not optimistic about our remaining targets but I am happy about the overall class. With that being said I think that we get Clark and Timmons and possibly one other wildcard that was not one of the talked about. I think we wiff on Bell,Wilson, Hunt, Elder, and Smith is forced out to Miss St. Great class and nothing to be to upset about besides not getting Quick,Bell or OL prospects.
Agree with this completely. I think we miss on Bell, Wilson and Hunt. However, I'm only mildly disappointed by this. With the class we've got right now, anything else is icing on the cake.
This is what we need to focus on down the stretch. Be happy with what we have now, its an outstanding group.
Ryan Timmons- Kentucky; offer doesn't become commitable to OSU or Fla
Dontre Wilson- Ohio State
James Clark- Ohio State
Cameron Hunt- Cal
Vonn Bell- Alabama; truly this is the biggest tossup on here.
Corn Elder- Purdue
Darren Carrington- not sure
Corey Smith- Mississippi State; ship has sailed.
I think Urbz may have something up his sleeve for closing time. Someone big but off the rader, maybe a flip. This would take Hunt's spot. I think if we take Clark AND Wilson, Timmons' offer doesn't become commitable.
Ryan Timmons- Kentucky
Dontre Wilson- Oregon
James Clark- Florida
Cameron Hunt- Oregon
Vonn Bell- Ohio State
Corn Elder- Purdue
Darren Carrington- ?
Corey Smith- Ohio State
Also, we keep Elliott, Johnson and Munger, who each strayed elsewhere recently.
Even though everything we keep reading is speculation and rumors, I'm starting to believe we get 2 more and they are Clark and Timmons. I believe Wilson stays Oregon, Bell to UT, Smith stays Miss. St., Hunt out west, Elder to Vandy, and Carrington I don't know.
I think the best thing to do at this point is look at the class the coaches have put together and say, "If they don't even add another recruit this is still a great class."
I follow recruiting pretty heavily and it's my experience that these last days are always so unpredictable. I definitely hope you're right but it seems to me you're getting your hopes up and personally, I don't like resting my hopes on the college decisions of teenagers.
The Buckeyes will be the Buckeyes WITH or WITHOUT these kids. Don't get me wrong, I'd be lying if i said I didn't care but a little perspective can go a long way. GO BUCKS!
I don't feel meyer would have Quint Kessenich on campus and in their war room for NSD if they didn't expect a high caliber commit on live tv or a big time flip, it's just not their style. We have landed somebody or a couple of somebody's. Who remains to be known and we will all be excited come 9 days from now....
+1 in hopes that you are right!!
Good point, well said, I can't vote or I would.
Ill go with:
Ryan Timmons- Kentucky
Dontre Wilson- Ohio State
James Clark- Clemson
Cameron Hunt- stays west
Vonn Bell- Bama
Corn Elder- Purdue
Darren Carrington- Oregon
Corey Smith- Miss State
We keep all our commits.
#Buckeyes
We only land 1 more? I can't see that... I think we get 2 more skill guys... Clark and Timmons.
My bad. Well I think we will land 1 of Smith/Timmons/Clark but idk who.
#Buckeyes
Buckeye4life.. I sure hope your right cause that statement just sent chills down my back
I feel like Wilson is the most likely. Then Clark. Then Timmons. Then Bell. Then Elder. Then Smith. Then the rest.
I'm not saying that I think we are getting all these guys. I'm just saying this is how I think they rank on how likely we get them.
Billy Price should move to O-line not Munger. I've seen him (Price) get worked time after time in NFTC camps as a D-lineman. D.Dawson embarrassed in multiple reps.
Follow me @jaythesportsguy
It's been speculated that Billy Price will move to center when it's all said and done.
Ryan Timmons- Kentucky
Dontre Wilson- Ohio State
James Clark- Ohio State
Cameron Hunt- Oregon
Vonn Bell- Tenessee
Corn Elder- Purdue
Dane Carrington- Oregon
Corey Smith- Mississippi State
Biggest of all, we keep Eze
Corey Smith- Ohio State
Vonn Bell- Ohio State
James Clark- Ohio State
that would be a cream in your pants finish to the class
I'm hoping Bell and Wilson on live tv committing to tOSU and the reaction from the osu war room at the woody hayes
looks like withers will be the last coach bell sees
Dang it I'm already 0-2 glad about smith not about Hunt
Not upset in the least that OSU didn't get either Hunt or Skipper. They will get 4-5 OL in the 2014 class
Just wondering why everyone is automatically giving up on landing Carrington? He is the player along with Clark and Timmons that I want on this team. Remember he has not even visited us yet and if history is an indicator people generally love recruiting trips to Ohio State. Call me crazy but I think we can land this kid.
Wilson-OSU-I hope
Clark-OSU-I hope
Smith-Obviously OSU
no Bell or OL
Giving this pic some more love just for these above...first and ten we win again;-)

I won't pretend to be knowledgeable enough to make any sort of actual prediction, but I would love:
-Bell
-Clark
-Carrington
We can dream right?
