I'm no SammySilv (not even close; as in as close as Lennay Kekua is to being a real person) but I am pumped & counting down to Christmas in February.

One week to go.

NSD is one of my favorite days of the year. Always marked on my calendar!

Some of my buddies that are OSU fans always think Im weird that I follow OSU recruiting. I tell them everytime, "our team is made here. Recruiting is what makes this team. so its actually a big deal, just ppl think because they watch OSU football every saturday that its only a college football game, they dont think about the recruiting process which builds that team."

People just dont get the recruiting stuff. But me, I love it! and NSD 2013 cant get here soon enough! Go Bucks!

I am the same way! not to mention if you watch recruiting closely you know just about every player on the team, not just the starters.

yah exactly. my buddys always get on me when a reserve player comes in and I say something like "Josh Perry with the stick", they look at me and like "who is that?" haha

Ive gotten alot of my friends into following more than the starters and star players lol

For most people that dont follow recruiting at all IMHO it is just a social gathering and fun time for them, which is ok by me. But for most of us especially on this site a buckeyes loss ruins are week and a win lifts us up through out the week. Call it crazy but i wouldnt have it any other way.

the worst games to lose to me are the noon games. i just get pissed off and don't want to watch football for the rest of the day

Pretty much there's only 1 guy that we aren't sure about going into NSD. Other than that, we pretty much know who is going to be in this class. To me, this year the weekend with the All-Star games was bigger than NSD.

Definitely a good day to be on the site. So much easier to get timely info now.

I can remember twenty years ago, the only info i could get was from my subscription to Buckeye Sports Bulletin (no internet then - it was only the hard copy version, so final recuriting info would come a week or two after recruiting day).

I was anxious for info, so I called the AD dept and they faxed me a list of committments! (That class had Korey Stringer, Eddie George, Fickell, as well as a few that didnt pan out, like - Eric Moss (brother of Randy))

I can also remember the struggles back then in trying to get the Bucks on tv in Louisville KY, where i was living at the time. I ended up calling the athletic dept to get the satellite coordinates, whcih i then gave to the clueless sports bar to get the game on!
