First off, to let everyone know I realize there is a fundamental difference in a RB/Ath and a safety. What the title means is, have we all mostly put Von Bell in the back of our minds because of so many different sources pointing to Alabama being his favorite heading into NSD? And in the interest of that have we all started to put our eggs in the Dontre Wilson basket and hope that he can get locked up? And if we're letting go of Von Bell (as it appears Alabama tightens their hold on him) is there anyone on the horizon you're looking to as a good option to take his spot?

Arghhhh, Stefon Diggs. Kind of weird that we'll actually likely be playing against him (and crushing his team) his Junior and Senior years at Maryland. If he doesn't go pro after his Jr year, which he has the talent to do imo.
The Stefon Diggs situation was the exact feeling I had leading up to James Quick's decision (hometown school), and even Dorian Johnson (also opted for the hometown school). For some reason I don't get that feeling about Bell, from his interviews I get the sense that he's absolutely starstruck by Nick Saban, gleeful about the possibility of being coached by him in the Secondary, and as such it's only a matter of time before he goes Tide. Hope I'm wrong though, of course.

I don't think Vonn Bell is a lock to Bama by any means... I could also see him choosing UT if they land North, Green, and possibly Gibson.
I think we have the strongest chance to land Bell because we have the last shot at him. Everett Withers is supposed to have an in-home visit shortly before NSD. As we have all read, Vonn's parents love Coach Withers and I'm sure they will be in his ear from the time Withers leaves until he picks up a hat on NSD.

No...on Wilson as new Bell target and we'll see if Bell's in this class. Feb 6th will be interesting but I have a feeling your inclination may be correct on where he'll end up.

I just saw a tweet that said he's at the hoops game and the person who conducted the halftime performance gave him a shout out. They're really doing everything they can to get him.

I don't know if everyone's given up on Vonn Bell... I know I'd love to have him be a Buckeye, but tOSU and Buckeye Nation (which really is an entire nation of Buckeyes because we tend to move, not like some of these pretender 'nation' schools) is way bigger than one recruit. I think if he wants to be 'one of us', then great. If someone like Dontre Wilson wants to be 'one of us', then great. But I'll tell you one thing: if Vonn Bell signs with 'Bama on NSD, then I'd rather have Jayme Thompson and Darron Lee, because they're Buckeyes!
