I came to this conclusion after watchi ng a post by UK recruit McWilson McWilson and jaleel Hychte has been reaching out to other recruits and has shown already to be great team mates trying to encourage.
I thought to myself hasnt Jalin Marshall done the exact same thing to EZE? Im sorry but once players develop bonds its much tougher to break a committ.
IMO. Theres nothing to worry about with EZE.

Finally a new EzE thread. The other one was getting too long.
I hope ur right, Waycracken!
I hope you're right too. If he does leave then we could move Wilson to RB, take Timmons for slot/hybrid, and take Clark at WR.
No offense, but if you're going to title your thread like this, you should have some content to support your conclusion. Otherwise it's misleading, as your opinion is really just another guess.
Im usually pretty good with an instinct. As a buisnessman you need them to be successful.
If you only deal with facts youre receiving yesterdays news.
Yesterdays news puts you behind your competition.
"Free advice from WayCraKen"(an original, just thought that one up)
As a businessman you need to understand business and have confidence, which can be taught. Instinct often has nothing to do with commonsense. This just makes you sound high and mighty to back up your posts with lack of substance. I clicked the thread anticipating fact, instead I got poorly written opinion that's difficult to understand.
What does that even mean? Please try to add sources or substantiated facts to your posts, it will make it easier for all to understand. This is just another pointless thread.
I think he said on another thread that he's been drinking at BWW tonight.
Lol. Your right. Poor excuse huh. Ok this time I am really done tonight
What we have here is failure to communicate. If I wanted to I would take the time to LISTEN to you with an open mind. Recognizing different personality types is a requisition in Buisness. Dealing with people and recognizing there needs is vital if you want to succeed. In a forum like this I make or you make a statement. Whose right? The coaches are correct!! Im not a coach. Are you a coach? If you are then I take back all my statements. But I's gotta feelin all you wanna do is argue. Argue on brotha.
I'm a coach... It's middle school basketball tho.
I coached girls soccer for several years. Does that give me any rights here?
Maybe if you told us what you did for a living specifically and what success you had we would be more likely to trust your instincts. Just saying you use instincts in business doesn't mean anything.
I coach a baseball team...fantasy.
Wherever you are, there you be!
My fantasy is to coach a lingerie football team.
"Political correctness is tyranny with manners." Charlton Heston(1924-2008)
This year my fantasy baseball team is going to be "Boats n Hoes". Prestige Worldwide!
Waycraken: I like you and want your instincts to be correct in this case; however, I also gotta disagree with your reasoning on business instincts . . .
The reason that markets "work" is not necessarily because businessmen/executives have especially good instincts. The history of bad business decisions justified by the supposedly superior instincts of businessmen is a much, much longer story (although mostly unwritten) compared to the success stories.
The market works because a hundred or so businessmen make their choices - often based on their instincts - and then a million customers get to test and ultimately "decide" which were "right," based on their longer-term purchasing trends - i.e., the instincts of a million are usually better than the instincts of a hundred. All of the businessmen will believe that their instincts are savvy, yet most of them will get hammered by the markets and either will get run out of business or will have to adjust on the fly. The ones who fall too much in love with their own instincts are doomed to fail.
This whole thread has gotten crazy haha!!
I do see how that could be misleading! I was mislead this whole time then about his alegiance. Did you ever express a view? Go ahead and down vote me again but this time have the balls to sign your name.
I give upvotes for those with courage.
I downvoted the thread. Not any of your comments though. I just found the thread kind of pointless, with no proof.
An upvote for you young man
Man I'm just disappointed that the epic recruiting saga with Timmons with end this Friday, will him most likely choosing UK.
OSU will be fine. Interchangeable drill bits at this stage for the great programs like tOSU. Places like UK its more meaningful. By the way I like the LaSalle kid. Seems to have great character.
Yeah my friend at LaSalle says he is a great kid with a good family. UK is starting to build something, IMO. Won't ever be a top dog in the SEC, but it is something. Heres to hoping Ohio State ends the 2013 class in a great way.
I think that he is going to stay with Buckeye Nation. I think that he would have told the staff otherwise when they visited him today, then we would see some last minute running back offers.
Another Eze thread...
He is currently telling everyone to follow fellow buckeye commits (Townsend and Bosa), so I think the freak out was a bit over the top.
yea, just seen that. I think he's all buckeye.
Agreed
Did you guys see what his mother has been tweeting I mean like I said in the other thread people are trying to make something out of nothing. This is just like all the people that flipped out and called Bell 100% Bama bound and now they are saying he's all UT, people freak out to much let the process take place and just do what Elliott said: Chill!
This thread is so freakin funny! WAYCRAKEN starts another EZE thread, which we all believe will have some late breaking news for us. Turns out its just his opinion, and for that we are all like half disapointed..........and he starts receiving several down votes. We are all enjoying.........and stressing over this recruiting way to much!!!!
i am just Way Cracken up over this!!!!
You know sometimes you just have to open up your mind and let it think on its own. Its how you innovate, dream of better ways and its a resource for knowledge. Keeping a closed mind deters a fella. Im done tonite.
And to boot its an EZE post. Go figure. I agree what does anyone know? Why was there all OPINIONS about a flip with no evidence? Gut instinct baby, either you have it or you dont. Its similar to having Touch. Correct?
You sir are correct. If I could up vote you for simply stating your opinion I would.
On a side note, glad your thread got turned back to the positive side......figured it would. Call it a gut feeling I guess. Ha!
Waycrack, good insight. I don't mind the post. At least it's more palatable than the "what's he having for breakfast, does he drink tea with sweet and low Or real sugar, I can't believe it's not butter" bull shat. Let the haters hate. Post on good man, post on.
And thank you for being a patriot. Hope everything is going well for you.
NOW THIS IS A DOWNVOTE I DO NOT UNDERSTAND!! Im not looking for a vote but I am thanking the man for his time in service!! Hate on me if you have to but show a little class. Downvote the heck out of me on all my other posts!! Go to my profile page pull all my posts up and down vote them. Get it out of your system Sister.
I agree. You were thanking a man for serving our great country. Whoever downvoted that needs to get some class. #USMC
I'll second that. Who's the jackass who down voted Waycracken for thanking a man for service to his country? You may have single-handedly changed my opinion about showing our votes. Previously I thought they should be private - now I'm thinking otherwise.
And by the way, IMHO, the ONLY reason to down vote someone is for behavior - i.e. to get rid of the trolls, the excessively vulgar, and the name calling cheap-shot artists.
I do not down vote because I simply disagree with someone, don't think they had enough good content (you should read several of my lame posts), it's a redundant post, or whatever. 11W is the best sports blog in the country, and part of that is due to our being tolerant & welcoming.
"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read." - Groucho Marx
This will surely get downvoted. I don't care though. $100 says it was some bitter liberal. The far-left in this country despise our military.
"Liberalism is a mental disorder."
11w instituted the voting system solely to provoke endless debates about voting, so we'd have some entertainment in the off-season. Thanks, guys.
UrbanWoodrowEarl- you have made political references on a few different threads/forum topics now, please refer to http://www.elevenwarriors.com/help/commenting-policy for insight into this wonderful politics free site.
I'm sorry URBANWOODROW.. etc, (aka Rush Limbaugh), but I thought this was a football forum, not a political forum... your post and/or opinion isn't worth a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin getting it on...
Remember that in the end you will be judged not by what you believed, planned or dreamed; but, by what you did.
You are right UrbanWoodrowEarlTressel. I can't downvote you fast enough. You sound like a total ass-hat.
Not only does this comment show a poor understanding of mental disorders, but it also violates the commenting policy here... So, good job. Please, let's just talk about football.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Comments like that make me wish I had a down vote for every 100 or so helmet stickers I have.
Not sure what basis you have here? I tend to lean somewhat left with my political views along with nearly my entire family, of whom many have served in the military.
I can tell you that this liberal family has the upmost respect and appreciation for the military. Your political affiliation has nothing at all to do with your appreciation of the military. You are simply ignorant and are trying to generalize based on no fact or substance, I could absolutely do the same with your post but will refrain because its the wrong thing to do.
We should probably stop commenting on the "against policy" political statement made above so it goes away and we don't make political post... which are against policy.
I can't wait to see you below the posting threshold.

No, it was posted elsewhere and I clicked on the link. Wish I hadn't.

Nice avatar, Maestro ;)
Pathetic that people are downvoting WAYCRACKEN for an honest, positive, and insightful post. (Here's looking at you URBZRENEWAL and co.).
Just because there aren't sources - doesn't mean you have to go all negative and bash the guy. He's got heart.
Woah woah woah, I downvote for one reason and one reason alone: content. Don't personally attack me, that's not cool. I criticize based on content, not persona.
Edit: if you need to know when you should and shouldn't downvote, this is a good guide: http://www.elevenwarriors.com/forum/site-stuff/2013/01/on-downvotes. It should be known that coming from other places on the internet, I'm much more draconian a voter than most, but not systematic by any means. But never because I disagree with the topic/content presented.
Upvote for honesty. Quite bored with the reason though.
Wait.....you have to have sources to post?
im screwed!
I believe unnamed sources reported Coach Herman and Coach Drayton gave EzE repeated Indian burns and noogies until he agreed to reaffirm his commitment to OSU. Then they all sat around eating Chinese food laughing at scUM's clone army of mini-Hoke offensive linemen.
I always upvote sarcasm font!
So much blood on the field....
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
I think the hysteria of recruiting is wearing everyone down. We are 8 days away from NSD.
Ding ding ding.......we have a winner!
And I get down voted for agreeing here too. Man it must be fun to sit behind a screen and be a tough guy with a down vote tattoo ready to flex it at any moment.
Back on topic, any word on EZE?
Sorry there are just a few qualified people to post on here. Just ask em. Im tryin to help ya out on some upvotes though.
I just think its funny. Never been too worried about the whole voting process, think it kind of lends to exactly what I have seen a few times tonight. These same people that down vote you would not say a negative thing to your face.
We are all here as Buckeye fans sharing our thoughts and opinions. We are never going to always agree, just like we don't always agree in real life. In real life we have discussions on possible differences, here I can just super secret down vote you and giggle about it like I just stole your ice cream cone. Well you can have my cone sir, I own the whole freakin ice cream store.
Saw some posts from EZE mother, she said that some scUM fan was on some OSU board the other day getting people all riled up trying to post as Zekes dad and saying EZE had decommited and she said that is furthest from the truth. She has had nothing but pleasant things to say about the staff at Ohio State via Twitter.
Also take it for what its worth but Zeke had not been saying alot all day today then there was a good period where he was asking buckeyenation to start following some of his buckeye teammates (Bosa and Townsend). Take it FWIW but I personally think comes to next week he will be a buckeye on paper. Thats just me though.
Looks like EzE is CBus bound:
Love it. As a whole, we grossly overreact. It sure does at to the excitement though.
Greg Jennings "I put my team on my back"
Gray Box. Thanks for adding the beef to my Post. You put youre information into the correct thread. My intuition plus your supporting evidence now helps some to draw a conclusion. Others it will take a fact to convince. I feel for those they must be living in agony. (For those of you that are living in agony please accept my apology and get well soon wish).
I'm just glad to help and hopefully ease some people's agony. I enjoy a lot of the info you post on here Waycracken! If I can add a little more beef to your beef with broccoli dish, it seems EzE is talking about leaving STL for CBus and not Columbia; here is the rest of the conversation EzE had with a tOSU fan naming campus Chinese resturants and mentioning CBus:
Love the name Gray Box
I think what it boils down to is that EZE just wanted some good old fashioned OSU lovin'. I don't believe that Dontre taking an official this weekend threatened his playing time or his stature with the team; at least in his eyes. I do believe that he might have felt a little left out of the excitement because he committed so early. I think the reaction that he received from the coaching staff and those on the inside following the turn of events (him visiting Mizzou) reaffirmed that he is an integral part of this recruiting class and he is still the warm and fuzzy kitten that we found under the Christmas tree.
“You have to make decisions, ... I've never pretended that every decision I've made was right. And I've been reminded of that.”
- James Patrick Tressel
taking the pessimistic route: I would feel even better if he called Townsend and Bosa 'future teammates'
No mention of Mark Pi's? I seriously eat there like three times a week.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Great. Another creeper messaging recruits.
I was thinking the same thing...
Ha! I just read that name and I actually know that kid from college... lived in my friend's freshman dorm. He's actually a really nice guy and probably means well, but I agree with the sentiment that messaging players isn't advisable. m
Oh well, I just hope EzE is 100% on board and we can all move on.
Time and change will surely show how firm they friendship... O-HI-O.
Yeah Pentenburg - you tweeting EZE about Chinese food and advising him on life decisions will really be the deciding factor here.
"You win with people." - Woody Hayes
Dont care if it affects any decision. A grown man with nothing better to do than tweet a 17 year old, he doesnt know, about anything = creeper.
I completely understand (and agree) that tweeting a player serves no purpose as far as affecting their decision... But seriously, everyone on here needs to stop being so high-and-mighty about it.
"A grown man has nothing better to do than to tweet a 17-year-old..."
And yet, here you (and hundreds of others) are following their every move on the internet. Even if you're not trying to contact them, or tweet at them. So many people here just don't get it. Is tweeting at recruits creepy? In most cases, yes. But are you all ANY better for reading every interview, looking at their tweets, and speculating where they're going to end up? No, you're not.
For some clarity here: I'm a sophomore here at OSU, I just turned 20 two weeks ago, and for a while, I thought that the whole "compulsively following recruiting" thing just kind of felt weird. Practically obsessing over kids who are younger than I am just felt strange. And it is. So personally, I don't think that anyone here has the right to criticize people who tweet at Zeke about Chinese food. Especially if it's a CURRENT student. A current student telling Zeke about what it's like to be a student at this university.
My view, personally, is that if you're a student, it's fine to tweet recruits in most situations. But if you're an alumni or have no association with the university other than being a fan, it is not okay.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Its creepy depending on your age. Students chatting with other students and potential students seems fine in general, but it matters how you go about it. He looked older than a current student and therefore to me it is creepy.
There is a difference between getting the inside scoop on what might happen to your favorite team and agonizing over every tweet and visit having it effect your life. It isn't creppy to come on here to see how recruiting is going (what MOST do). It is creepy for it to make you freak out and become an expert on a kid you don't know, and never will, who MIGHT go to your favorite school. There is a difference...
I don't tweet and I don't Facebook. I know what the purpose of both are. A social media network doesn't have an age limit on it. I know Facebook has some filters that allow the user to determine who views it. I don't know if Twitter has the same options. Simply stated, the only person that should be judging whether a post/tweet is creepy is the recipient. If he doesn't like it I am sure he can ignore or refuse privileges. I agree that it isn't something that I would do but I don't see how doing so violates the original intentions of those networks. They like the attention and need to get used to being a minor celebrity at some point in time in their career. I think that parents monitoring their childrens accounts would solve a lot of these dilemmas. I assure you that when my kids are old enough to warrant being given a phone that they will not have access to those sites. Just my two cents and not intended to upset users of these networks.
I think that any type of communication that is creepy in "real life" is still creepy on those sites. I don't believe the internet is any different than real life, just more public and easier to access more people. I would think that a older stranger approaching a 16-17 year old to talk about chinese food and their choice of colleges is creepy in real life... and therefore creepy on the internet which is just an extension of real life.
This appears to be great news!
I would say that EZE has calmed things down for many of us fans that love this recruiting stuff.
Another thread that gets sidetracked by the downvote discussion or Timmins. Geez! Please stop! Let's talk abouk EZE. If you want, I'll start new thread on downvoting.
It should be ok. Unless of course Zeke's dad deletes his Coombs video. lol
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
I have NEVER in my life heard of the quality of Chinese Food in St. Louis. Isn't that kind of like saying you love Indianapolis style pizza????
I think Chinese food in STL is actually quite a thing. Never had it there but supposedly locals thinks its the best. Probably a lot like barbeque, any local thinks theirs is the best!
I actually think it is more of good restaurants than which city has the best. I have 2 chinese places close to my home. 1 sucks, 1 is really good!
St. Louis just doesn't scream hub of Chinese culture to me! I guess it may be good, I don't know. I've been to St. Louis several times and never heard, hey man you can't leave without having our Chinese food!!!!
Yeah, but is it authentic....?
If you're in STL and not eating at Pappy's Smokehouse, you're doing yourself a serious disservice. Tasty, tasty BBQ.
So this thread totally got off track... Sigh only you guys lol I love our 11warriors community.
So on a related note, anybody have a guess as to where James Quick is going???????
I honestly think he is coming to Cbus! He was tweeting everything related to tOSU and loves the coaching staff. Unless Florida just floors him (which I dont see since he has already been there) he is all Buckeye!
You're talking about Clark and not Quick, right? I'm assuming Quick is still Louisville bound.
I assume you mean James Clark not Quick.
..was using a slight bit of sarcasm on my reference to Quick.
I do hope Clark makes it here.
No downvoting here WayC but despite the fact I understand your OP, the title was a bit misleading as to the topic. Kind of felt like there was something specific to Eze saying it flat out or something.
but I am all for the hunch. I think it is pretty easy to predict since I doubt Urban has lost any player he truly wanted and is verballed. It makes sense though and that is why we love hearing things like JT hosting Dontre Wilson (not just because of the TX thing but because JT will be throwing to DW soon!).
Don't let this stuff get to you man! Its just fodder! Votes don't mean anything IMO and just accept the few DV knowning everytime you make another comment that is positive will overrule the DV.
No "Derek Pentenburg", just no. Some people just don't get it; they just don't have social common sense, or they do but they selfishly don't care. Beyond creepy to message a 17 year old kid, and behind stupid to think you're going to sway him to your school with whatever it is you tell him.
"You win with people." - Woody Hayes
I get that it might have zero effect on the types of people prone to engaging in this behavior in the first place, but why couldn't the coaching staff put together a 20 second PSA on appropriate behavior on social media toward recruits? Seeing UFM during a commerial break during a game on TV saying that true fans don't do this might not be a bad thing.
"A guy from Ohio can make it in life if he works hard enough." - Wayne Woodrow Hayes
Im with everyone who says it is beyond creepy to message 17-18 year old kids on social media. Good lord. Let the kid make the decision and whatever it is good for him. We all want OSU to be successful but people messaging kids on twitter has no bearing on anything.
I can't imagine being that age and having grown men tweet me all the stuff some of these kids see.
I'm on twitter and follow some recruits but never message them just because some announce on there but I hardly get on there and I have been letting the 11w guys get the news for me I think after the AA situation people would know better than to talk to recruits but I guess stupidly is everywhere I really hope eze comes here he would be great in s&g ill let the pros contact them.. Just my thoughts..
Delete this thread please....most of us who had faith were right and I'm sure the negative Nancy's will do this with more 2014 recruits this year too. Have faith in Urban and Co. as well as 11W staff. There's reasons why many of us don't pay for recruiting info any more...it's these guys and gales here at 11W....thank you.
