EDIT: Ok, so I found another one for Wilson, and NOW I'm impressed! Really nice burst, vision and elusivesness, much better looking level of competition: http://msn.foxsports.com/video?videoid=c0efe0f3-4445-5337-d67b-d1dab8087...
EDIT 2: More lovely film to get you pumped for tonight's announcement:
- Very little overlap with others: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=JEDptYy8ee8
- From just one game! He's #2, btw. 0:52 is super impressive, but make sure you watch the play before ;) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=xgcU6g6aOpU
Original:
(I posted this buried deep in a thread and don't think it was seen by most, so...)
I watched what I think are the latest film for each of these guys and, while Wilson's was pretty good, but not great, IMO, Clark's was really amazing. Clark seems explosive in a way that few football players I've seen are. I saw Alex mention he thinks Wilson is a higher priority than Clark for the staff, so I'm obviously missing something, right?
Those of you who like Wilson better, pls link what you watched and let me know what are you seeing that makes you feel that way?
Pls help me get even more excited about the prospect of him coming aboard :)

Here's the one I watched on Wilson, "senior highlights": http://screen.yahoo.com/rivals-spotlight-dontre-wilson-132500839.html

All I have to say about Clark is wow
Greg Jennings "I put my team on my back"
To me it seems like dontre Wilson is quicker and has more juke moves. That is why I would rather take him. Clark seems straight line speed. IMHO
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog
You know, I agree. The Clark kid seems to have great, great instant acceleration. I would rate Timmons's and Wilson's lateral movement a little higher, based upon the few snippets that I have seen of them, but Clark's explosive speed and also his balance seem to be really, really elite. If the kid has an offer from Northwestern, I would bet that he is pretty clever to boot. Personally, if given the choice between the three, I would prefer Timmons, but I think that you are right, that this kid looks more explosive than Wilson, who I also think looks to be a really good player.
Yes, forgot to mention he looks to have elite balance as well. Plus he's not afraid of contact, plays very physical.
I'd imagine he'll gain 15-20 punds of muscle in college, so 5"11" 190 isn't too bad for a blistering, physical speedster with great balance.
And yup, I seem to remember reading he's a phenomenal student, too. Very lucky school that gets him.
3.98 GPA
Well that settles it. Out of Wilson, Clark, and Timmons, I want Clark the most. He has amazing football speed after he accelerates.
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
When I saw that film 3 or 4 days ago, Clark shot above all the remaining recruits I wanted.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Looking at both links, it appears that Wilson played against better defenses than Clark. That is just purely looking at the defense and the way the players swarm to the tackle and the way they play their positions. I am no expert but I am curious if anyone sees the same thing? I don't know a thing about the regions nor their reputations.
I think that Clark looks like a better prospect at the slot reciever position, and that is what the Staff is looking for. He has amazing top end speed. Either of the players would make me happy.
I like Dontre Wilson, don't get me wrong, but I've said before that I like Clark better for this offense. He is a natural WR, unlike Timmons and Wilson, and his first step is the stuff legends are made of. I see him being a lethal return man and a major home run hitter regardless of where he catches the ball on the field. He reminds me a LOT of Sammy Watkins at Clemson.
I say just get Wilson, Clark, and Timmons to commit and let them determine who is the best head to head to head.
Wilson looks pretty good the first 2 minutes of that highlight video where all TD's. I know what your saying about Clarks explosive looking speed. He seems to have a long stride with amazing leg turnover. I will be excited if we get either one. Wilson can run screens out of the backfield and Clark can run wr screens and we will only need 2 plays
Ok, so I found another one for Wilson, and NOW I'm impressed! Really nice burst, vision and elusivesness, good balance and runs pretty strong (against much better looking level of competition): http://msn.foxsports.com/video?videoid=c0efe0f3-4445-5337-d67b-d1dab8087...
I think it's pretty clear that Wilson plays against a better level of competition. Clark does have incredible acceleration. We are all spoiled that we are wondering which one of these 2 we are going to get. Appears to be Wilson, and I'm absolutely OK with that.
Wow, Clark. Wow. Dontre's great too. But gimme some Clark!
Posted two more links in the original post at the top, getting more and more excited to (hopefullly) have Dontre aboard!
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
For the record Greg Powers the guy that covers Dontre's team, Texas, and nearby areas stated that all videos on here now are 2011. Doesnt look like Dontres 2012 tape has come out yet.
I really like both Clark's and Wilson's tape. I think Clark's tape looks more impressive, but I would take Wilson first. Wilson obviously plays for a great team with a great line, but he has something special. Clark looks like he plays guys who aren't so great, and that's why he looks so good. One thing worries me about Clark: he takes some big hits when he keeps dancing around, even though he gets away for a big gain sometimes; I hope he learns to get down before he gets destroyed in college. I don't know if we have a spot left, but I would love to have Clark in the class if we do.
I know a lot of us watched this live but I felt it was worthy of the Wilson collection. I'm so glad we got him and Clark!
ahhhh!!! The University Of Ohio State Dontre?? DOH!!
Remember that in the end you will be judged not by what you believed, planned or dreamed; but, by what you did.
I didn't see this one in here and thought it was worthy too (sorry if you already posted it; not all the videos are compatible with my phone...)
*giggle*
+1
Is that second highlight him throwing a pass (and a very solid deep ball for a RB)? Dontre were gonna have some fun with you....
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
That last clip was awesome -- kid will be a beast in Meyer's system.
Here are Dontre's actual Senior season highlights.
Hopefully you'll see why I feel that he is the #1 high school football player in the nation.
In my opinion, he is underrated and the BUCKEYES got a steal!

#1 in the nation? Not sure about that, but a pretty talented kid.
I'm also more impressed by Clark- he bails his QB out a ton in the original poster's video.
The postgame show is brought to you by... Christ, I can't find it. The hell with it...
No need to choose since Ohio State landed both. :D
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
and this is vs the highest competition in DFW, 5A talant. dude might be most talented in class
the guys thinking they have angles and still getting outrun reminds me of mr ginn
the kids are playing their tail off, and the coaches are screwing it up! - JLS
I can't choose, just give me both. :)
