Possible flip? Donovan Munger on official visit elsewhere
Ohio State has done a great job of flipping commitments over the last 14 months.
Now, the Buckeyes must wait to see it if happens to them.
Four-star senior Donovan Munger (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights) committed to Ohio State on Dec. 9.
Sources have confirmed, the ESPN 300 defensive tackle is on an official visit to Florida State this weekend.
The 6-foot-3, 280-pound, Munger recorded 70 tackles -- 14 for loss -- six sacks, 23 quarterback pressures, a fumble recovery and pass break up his senior year.
His high school coach very politely refrained from commenting until he hears from the family.

I doubt anything comes of it... Other than Coach Mick riding him a little harder once he gets on campus. Haha
When its all said and done Munger will be a Buckeye.
If I lived in northern OH, and was offered an all-expenses-paid-for trip to Florida in mid/late January...I would have trouble saying no, too.
Plus, have you seen some if those FSU co-eds?! Hi-yo!!! ...
The issue is probably that their combined IQs are 15. Ever been to a public school in Florida?
FSU is not the easiest school to get into. You are all about knocking folks on their education.
They are currently applying for AAU membership.
Oh really?
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Honestly I dont think they are attractive at all. Just my opinion.
Not sure if serious or just trying to enrage me. :/

Well at first I saw the picture and thought, Yes Boobs! But then I looked up and saw their faces. Far left has a terrible tan. They all look like fake boobs. Plus the fact that I dont think they're hot but I can tell that they think they're hot shit based on them thinking they can pull off those slutty clothes is a real turn off.
I'm with you. Certainly doesn't hurt to look at them, but if we're going to drool, we could do a lot better.
The pic of the Oregon girls on the other thread is much more impressive.
Glad i'm not the only one. they're like... orange. not a good look.
Damn they look like what we like to call in New York "busted ho bags". Something that would be shamelessly trying to hook up with one of the jersey shore members while they are sloppy drunk.
Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.
I know Munger can play both ways and would probably end up more valuable on the O-line, but could someone explain to me what exactly we would be losing if he went to FSU? Would there not be a possibly better D-Line prospect from next year's class, or would we be better off using his scholarship on Wilson/Robinsons this year if can we flip them. I know he's a 4 star recruit on all but rivals, but he doesn't seem up to fit the mold of what Urban and Co. have recruited on the D-Line so far and would start off already behind Price and Hill from this year's class alone.
I don't have a problem with this as long as he was upfront with the coaching staff and told them he planned to visit. He's a great player and I would love to have him in this class. At the same time though, as a person he deserves the right to look into any opportunity that he feels might benefit his future.
OV to other colleges when committed are more about how you handle it versus the fact that you're visiting a different school than the one you are committed to.
I visited FSU two weeks ago with a good friend that goes to law school there. I had to pretend it was nice. That place is a complete crap hole. Although the Spanish moss is nice. I know recruits have many reasons for committing but don't think that FSU or Tally is impressive to look at.
The link is to a paid board, but here's one detail from Google:
Good luck on seeing the field if he flips to FSU. If you think OSU has DT depth?
FSU has
Mario Edwards - 5*
Eddie Goldman - 5*
Justin Shanks - 4*
Timmy Jernigan - 4*
Nile Lawrence-Stample - 4*
Derrick Mitchell - 4*
All within the last couple of classes and ready to step in. Not even all of those guys are playing DT anymore based on how deep their DT spot is.
FSU is recruiting him as OL.
Ahhh, I hadn't heard that! That would make a LOT more sense. There's no way he'd have a chance of breaking into their DL lineup for at least the next 3 years.
If that's the case, I'd think that'd about put FSU on par with OSU--neither has tremendous OL depth.
If he does flip, at least it's a player, and a position we could afford to lose. I think there was a little bit of surprise anyway when he commited, surprise in that we already had bosa, and sprinkle locked up, along with neal, and they took another DL commit.
Just a life long Buckeye fan wanting to talk to other lifelong Buckeye fans. Our honor defend, we will fight to the end for OOO HIIII OOOOOO!
Although losing a guy with his size and speed would never be a good thing, if it opens up a spot for another offensive playmaker that wouldn't be the end of the world.
And if he does stay a Buckeye then he is pretty smart for taking a trip someplace warm.
The problem with losing him is he can play O line probably just as well as he can play d line
I hope his family realizes how much easier it is to take 71 two hours vs at least two connections on a plane to get to Tallahassee every time they want to go to a game. Not to mention the closest road game is probably vtech or eventually louisville.
Once a kid commits then goes on an official visit that should automatically allow the school to pull the offer if they want...maybe the school already can? I just hope that both side can reconsider once a verbal commit decides to look elsewhere.
D. Anthony
I think that is pretty much Hoke's policy. He doesn't pull the offer but doesn't guarantee it if a verbal takes another official.
Funny comparing this thread vs. the complete meltdown on MSU's blog over Drake Harris.
Posted in the Quick Bits thread but it has been confirmed he cleared it with the staff isnt decommitting and visited bc it was free. Hes all Buckeye nothing to see here.
Where's your source for this? I haven't seen it anywhere credible and you didn't cite a source there either.
Bill Greene over at Scout talked to him today on his way home.
Link? I can't find it.
its in the forums at Scout.
What what? Why would he freely admit he went because it was free? That's not good business.
Didnt say it word for word but you can imply it here coach on FSU staff is friends with a coach at Shaker and went with him.
Thanks for the info.
No prob buddy always glad to help when I get info.
At first I was all like....
But if FSU wants to give me a free trip down south for a couple of hours of beach time on their dime it why not...
Nothing like dancing on the field in 02...
I wondered how long it'd take someone to use this GIF. Here's a great breakdown of it from one of the USA today writers:
"The GIF of his tantrum is mesmerizing, as all GIFs are. Watch it a few times for the full effect, then follow along as we break down Harbaugh's actions step-by-step. In a span of two seconds, Harbaugh shows the range it's taken Meryl Streep a lifetime to master.

2. Bat Mitzvah attendee dutifully following instructions during the "little bit softer now" part of Shout.
3. Rugby player performing a pregame Haka.
4. Heavy metal drummer concluding a wicked solo.
5. The Incredible Hulk.
6. Kid who didn't get the Xbox 360 he wanted for Christmas.
7. A woman who just splashed her drink in a man's face at a crowded restaurant."
I cant take the credit...

Talked to a good buddy of mine that is an FSU fan. Told me tonight that I have nothing to worry about with Munger. Told me that Munger enjoyed his visit but wasn't blown away and that he really wants to stay closer to home anyway for college. This was according to Warchant and somebody that he trusts. Really expect him to remain committed to the Buckeyes. Go BUCKS!!
"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got nine guys who better go do it again. Do it a little harder next time." -- Urban Frank Meyer -- I LOVE THIS DUDE!! :)
A nice free vaction to a warm climate this time of year.
Not sure if you guys all saw this but it's interesting.

I heard Munger liked his visit, but he couldn't bear the idea of playing for a guy named Jimbo.
Some more confirmation...
Why does scout have him as a "soft verbal"?
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Because scout has one thumb in their mouth..one in their ass and listening when anyone says switch.
I dont always root for college athletics, but when i do (which is most of the time) I choose THE Ohio State Buckeyes.
I'm almost positive that's standard procedure for any verbal commit that takes an official visit elsewhere.
Don't give up... Don't ever give up.
Those women are HOT! look for flaws all you want and you'll find them in everyone. They are HOT.
SGTREDLEG
The one on the left looks like she has Ooompa Loompa skin. One on the right looks good but the two in the middle look like they could be a little trashy possibly.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
But trashy in a good way right Glue ???
I'm going to go with trashy in an absolutely great way.
