EMCC coach says the report of Smith to OSU is not true.
From the article: "However, EMCC coach Buddy Stephens is refuting the 247sports.com report this afternoon.
“Corey is visiting Tennessee next weekend,” Stephens told the Clarion-Ledger. “He hasn’t committed to anybody.”"

Homerism shows, I guess Vonn Bell will commit there as well?
Lol
Wonder where 247 got their information?
Derek and Alex reported it, until otherwise I believe it.
No offense to Alex, but he hasn't really been on fire lately.
I respect your right to an opinion, but please don't bite the hand that feeds us.
No downvote from me, but Just sit back and enjoy the FREE 11W meta.
Not biting anyone. I'm just pointing out that lately his sources have not been all that reliable. If that's downvotable, so be it.
Just a difference of opinion then. We said our peace, so be it.
I personally wouldnt have made the comment you made but i haven't and won't downvote it, i dont think it was malicious or demeaning necessarily
Lately??? But you've only been a member for 3 days...

Yeah, I think Alex has been pretty darn good. He nailed Mitchell and Johnson, and assured us that things would be fine with Elliot, which, although not guaranteed yet, is looking better all the time. I think anything involving the whims of teenagers will be inexact, but I have a lot of faith in Alex.
TBH most people could've nailed Mitchell and Johnson. Don't downvote just because you disagree with him, it's a valid point, as much as I dislike it.
Myself... Im pretty frickin tired of everyone getting so worried about upvoting/downvoting... worrying about everyone's feelings....
take emotion out of your responses, and there won't be any issues. Wish we would just scrap this upvoting system...
In Alex I trust! Love the content on this site! Thanks

Pretty sure Smith committed to OSU...
also I please tell me where I haven't been reliable? Just curious
Alex, you are the most reliable recruitnik on the net man...don't sweat some guy who's only been a member for three days lol.....those of us who've been here awhile take your reporting/word as gospel...
The point of this thread was not to take unsubstantiated cheap shots at any staff member; or anyone else, for that matter. If one is going to make a reasonable claim about accuracy, one should cite specific instances. Otherwise, you come across as a troll.
Big ups to Alex and the entire 11W staff for all their efforts.

Look, none of us are above reproach, but recruiting is a very fluid space. We're dealing with teenagers and something that is true on Monday, may not be true on Tuesday. Things change quickly.
Bottom line: Jason, Alex, keep up the good work! Since 2011, this has been my (and prob a great deal of other 11Wers) one-stop for all things Buckeye.
Thank you for that.
i friggin love this site lol
Is this what we Want or What we deserve? Trouble is what I fear.
Hate to say this but could he have told people and then Urban told him to hold off until NSD?
Good point UCR, Smith may have committed, but the staff may be telling him to keep it down so that Clark and/or Timmons does not go elsewhere. Who knows at this point

Don't buy what? That he has committed, or the he's visiting the Vols?
What this is about above....in other obvious words, that he's going to visit Tenn....yes. Why would he commit today to OSU then??? Makes no sense...if he visits the Vols....then I'm sure he'll still stay committed. That's why I don't buy what the coach is selling...

Can't embed tweets or post pictures at work, but Smith (assuming it's his legit twitter) responded to Greene's tweet with "OSU". I believe the player over the coach.

Asked Michael Chung about it after he tweeted that article, his response:
Cause I couldn't go for three
This sounds like BS. Every major recruiting outlet is reporting his flip, and the only things I'm seeing about his visit to UT are tweets from a UT football outfit. He's a Buckeye until he officially comes out and says otherwise.

Ya but come on that is just the guy that committed! I won't believe it til I see it on 24/7
There is a link to Corey Smiths Twitter in the story linked by OP in which Corey has about 6-7 retweets that he has committed to OSU...Buckeye.

I may have missed this...
Is Corey coming in as a Junior? He had two JUCO years correct? Grand Rapids and EMCC?
Yes, as a junior.
So just to be clear, he committed to tOSU and some tennessee noobs started hocking this weekend visit crap, but hes stil a buckeye and the tenn visit isnt happening, did i get that all right?
Love it.
Just lost a ton of respect for Vols fans...wait, never had any for them to begin with. Nevermind :)

Hopefully he comes in and learns the offense fast, it was weird after seeing Michael Thomas in the spring game and then really not too much production though he did get on the field later in the season.
I agree. Thomas looked like he was running good routes when he was in the game, although he wasn't targeted very often at all. I'm not sure why he wasn't given more of a chance. He can get open and catch a football. I'm just not sure how well he can break tackles and pick up some YAC. Philly Brown has the some problem, although he improved down the stretch last season.
Smith will bring the experience Urban is looking for. You can't teach experience. Couple things they may want to teach Smith is to tuck that ball a lil better when he is running "past" defenders. Impressive film, but he carries it loosely. If defenders can't catch him they will more than likely swipe at the ball. Also, when you catch a pass or score a TD, flip the ball to the official. I know Tress was big on this and it's just a respect thing towards officials. I'm sure Smith will learn this quickly and it will become habit. Welcome to BuckeyeNation!
