Basketball v Football Scholarships

With the Robinson twins and the 2014 WR committed to MSU all being Basketball and Football recruits, does this give us a potential loophole to increase our roster?  That is, if they come to OSU as basketball players on scholarships, do their scholarships still count against the 82 for Football?  If not, I would think that makes them excellent candidates if Matta is willing to take them on.

No. The student athlete gets counted towards the sport with the higher number of allotted scholarships (in this case the football team). But it would free up a potential scholarship for the basketball team.

They would count for football not basketball.
