News is just breaking that Rose lost his appeal.

"Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred has decided not to lift Pete Rose’s lifetime ban from baseball for betting on games, Michael S. Schmidt of The New York Times reports.

Rose met with Manfred back in September regarding his application for reinstatement, which he formally submitted in March. The league announced a decision would come before the end of 2015."
